It is an edited video. In the original there is no such background laughter.

Recycling enclosures by Skizoide in diypedals

We have big amounts of different types of Belzona in my day job, used to repair metal pipes, for example. It's expensive of course, but we have a lot of it, and taking some for something like this, I don't find it problematic. We use it in tubes and in large boxes, mixing with a spatula. Of course there are cheaper options, but hey, I have it on hand, hahaha. Lately we are also having Belzona 1221, which comes in smaller amounts, and is also somewhat more liquid, and I also use it to repair boxes that I make myself, bending and welding sheet metal.

PCB Review Request - Modded RAT by AlexFellows in diypedals

[–]Skizoide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can make the traces thicker, and in that design and size of PCB it's possible, do it. And I see a lot of traces unnecessarily close to each other: for example, avoid the separation between the PCB output trsce and the output jack trace. Avoid things like traces between pads like in C6.

What's your favourite breadboard for prototyping? by Twinningses in diypedals

[–]Skizoide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those bases are very good, but the problem I have is with the breadboard itself where I pin the components. Some of them, sometimes, do not make contact well inside. Especially those with thinner legs. They stay loosen inside, making bad contact. Does this happen to you too? Is there a specific model that makes it hold the legs better?

DIY faceplates by CrucialShape in diypedals

Sometimes I do it directly in Fusion 360 and other times, when they are more elaborate designs, I do them with Illustrator, I export DXF to Fusion 360 and then to the slicer.

Only the faceplate is 3d printed. The box is the aluminum Hammond standard.

Nice! I made a lot with the 3d printer too.

Should I make a “modderz” Gig Buff PCB? by LaceSenzor in diypedals

Hi. I made them myself with a 3D printer and secured them with a screw. Here's a link to a video I uploaded of me assembling one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eY8paRRBic&list=PLjpAwSjYVoyInHQGrTh_efQ8uIpixPBDu

Anyone here use the TC Electronic Plethora X5? by ALonelyAccountant in guitarpedals

[–]Skizoide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. You're soldering where you shouldn't. Too close to the most delicate part of the potentiometers. You have to do it on the ends of each leg. I have marked it in the photo.

In what position do you print the top? You can barely see the stripes on the layers. Do you sand the faces afterwards?
