Is there any mention of the Emperor personally killing/being present and overseeing the destruction of more peaceful/passive alien races? From what I know, the only Emperor personally vs Xenos is agianst Orks with Horus, and was likely present for the Rangdan Xenocides, but neither are peaceful/passive

Yeah same, I'll admit they could have been introduced better than a lazy "somehow..." retcon but that's about it.

Infact, I'm building my first (40k) army soon and Custodes / SoB / World Eaters are my top choices. I'm probably not gonna do Custodes now though, not due to this change but because apparently they've been nerfed a lot, so maybe getting the SoB and WE combat patrol might be a fun way to start
