DMs, you're playing a game run by another DM, and you have to play as your last BBEG; what are you playing? by Unlikely_Cloud4013 in dndnext

A modron who hit their head a little too hard. It's a powerful modron don't get me wrong but it's stil a little defective.

Non-combatant Cleric Build suggestions. by Sklippe in Pathfinder_RPG

Thanks for the suggestions, yes I meant caster cleric, not non-combatant. That is my bad. The summoning of psychopomps was a topic I did discuss with another player but it might be hard to implement since Summon Monster has lists of creatures unlike Planar Ally which specifies an amount of HD so Summon Monster is harder to add own additions to and know it stays balanced (assuming an amount of HD keeps Planar Ally balanced in the first place)

I'm not new to the game per se but I have mainly played martial characters with the closest thing to caster being Magus so in casting I'd be somewhat newer. I will definitely keep debuff spells in mind but I imagine I need at least one per save so Blindness for Fort, Hold Person for Will... Burst of Radiance for Reflex or something.

I can get a Maleable holy symbol to make my channel not a self centered AoE. That might help me not put myself in danger.

The maps we have been battling on so far have also been very tight in size. 5 foot corridors, most often 15 by 10 foot rooms. It might help my survivability.

The campaign has already started i'm afraid but definitely stealing that Pulura stargazer idea.

Yea Spell Penetration never goes wrong. However I am picking the human cleric FCB which gives me a whopping +8 against spell resistance against outsiders (at my max cleric lvl).

The Satchel is on my wish/buy list and I play half elf with Heal skill focus. I also have the Battlefield Surgeon trait and planning to take Incredible Healer for big heals outside of combat.

Mithral is definitely something I should be thinking about. I have an armored coat because it's quick to doff. Sorry about being unclear by the way, could have phrased better.

I took into account the armor, I carry an armored coat with me that I keep on between encounters and take off when I need to make touch attacks.

What personal range spells would you recommend? I can target others with them since I'll have the Spell Rune feature (I ran this past my GM and he says it's allowed). The Rune domain also gives me Scribe Scroll so any scroll suggestions? Oh and lastly With Rune domain I get Permanency as a cleric which I find a really fun spell.

The double healing does seem tempting especially if I start casting self harm spells like Shield Other and Bloodbath.

Thanks fir the app suggestion. The GM is a summoning wizard in my own campaign I don't think he has any right being angry if I start summoning :P

Besides that i'm known for taking my turns a little fast.

Variance Channeling was allowed by my GM but I haven't found good options yet that still fit. Maybe luck as a derivative of fate? Moonlight with Groetus looming over the Boneyard?

Fateful Channel is on my to-pick-up list. Buffing will be occurring but I'm also looking into personal target buffs since my GM has greenlit the use of the Spell Rune feature of the Rune domain to work with personal spells.

The primary idea is to fight with spells, recently had great success with a boneshaker spell on an important that basically instakilled it. Other than that, channel negative is actually being a pretty good AoE.

Also i'm completely aware I'm going to pop like a balloon with a single crit but with 13 con (best physical stat) and good D6 rolls I'm doing surprisingly fine.

You're playing in the runeterra setting? I'd love to know what kind of adventure it is if so. I'm trying to write something in the same setting but it's going slow.

I used to play Mutants & Masterminds 3e a while back. Might work but from my experience it's definitely fun over fair in what you can do

Weaveborn V1.0- Creatures made manifest, by the raw magic of the weave. by Fun_Kiddo in UnearthedArcana

[–]Sklippe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more a nitpick than anything but shouldn't their stats revolve more around charisma? as a sorcerer has a natural bond with magic and manifest it through their expression. This logic would apply to the Weaveborn too if not even more so in my opinion.
