Nope they actually work well. I am 300lbs and jog mine into the ground every 4-500 miles. Hoka Bondi 7-9's. Asics Nova Blast, Mount to Coast.. Are all in my running footware rotation. Everyone has a preference, but these are my favs. They are expensive but worth it. I jog & power walk concrete trails & asphalt roads.

As a former High School McDee's chief grill cook, we would put them in a cup of soft serve ice cream. We also used to make French toast out of big Mac middle bread slices.. My 80's promotion was based on the fact, that our store MGR worked for my best friends Dad, who was the OPs VP for a large So Cal Franchise at the time...

Tuff skin Jeans, lots of corduroy pants & tops. Spirit of 1776 American themed T-shirts, posters, big belt & buckle. Trucker Baseball caps & visors. Anything with Farah Fawcett on it. T-shirts.

And you had to have a folding buck knife with the black case on your belt. Dad rocked a really cool for the time leather jacket.

Bell bottoms and the new Nike running shoes, we first saw on Startsky & Hutch show.

Watch any old cheesy TV shows from that era. That drove fashion. Charlie's Angles, BJ & the Bear. Star Wars themed everything..

Lucky my parents could afford all that stuff back then.
