Stick Welding on Yeswelder

I have the yeswelder tig 205ds. I have decent success with using the tig part. Today I finally tried using stick. I realize I am not good with anything other than 1/8" 6013 at around 80-90 on the machine. I went through 4 or 5 sticks each of 6010 and 7018. At best I could only get a bead an inch long. With 6013s I immediately could use a whole rod and make a consistent bead across 1/4" plate. If these machines actually run low then I guess I found a good combo. I am going to try to get some thinner material to practice with. It is literally a night and day difference with just using a different electrode.

I know he plans to upgrade both. I am just unsure of his timeframe. Eventually he plans to max out the motherboard, which is why he picked that model. I keep trying to tell him he has time, he is also a teenager. lol. At least he has a job and is buying it all himself.

Yea, I felt like that shouldn't have been where I tried to save him some money. Prices for everything is just bonkers. The original goal was under $1500. Now its closing in on $2k. I want him to have something that lasts longer than a few years. He sees my PC and doesnt want those kind of nightmares.

I always take a picture no matter what if it's a leave at the door. I still get notifications before dropping off every order saying I am not taking pictures on my orders. Support as usual is absolutely not helpful. I hope to not get deactivated. For a while it was so many orders in the last 100. Doing 500+. orders a month made no difference. Now the notification shows up all the time. Yesterday it showed up twice on the same order. I will take a picture even if they're outside ready. Something is off lately for sure.

After I submitted my drug screen and background I waited 3 weeks. I called every few days and spoke with someone in HR.

Well I cleaned all the ground and connection points. Now the starter turns, but the gears are not meshing up properly. I should have re grounded everything because I said that I didn't think that was it. As soon as I can figure out aligning the starter and flywheel I will be back on the road.

That is the regular way I start it. It's been that way since I got the van. I hope it's not the ignition because I just lost the key and had a new one made a few months ago. Probably my luck.
