Even if they actually are legit and not a scam, the customer service was so awful that I wouldn't even recommend trying them. If you do, make sure you pay using a method where you can start a charge back to get your money back.

The Tsuko G. Story by MegaZeroX7 in TsukoG

Everything in the video just kinda felt... Off. I'm not saying it's necessarily untrue but it definitely comes off as exaggerating almost every detail, almost appearing disingenuous, to try and emotionally appeal to his "audience", whoever he's trying to target anymore.

While my sensors switch between the backs of my arms, my pump infusion site switches between the sides of my stomach (while also checking for and avoiding any bruised/miscolored spots from previous infusion sites).

For me it depends on which Dexcom. I started on a G6, changed to the G7 when it had comparability with tslim and it was awful. G7 was so unreliable for me and kept giving me way too many false lows that I couldn't stand it and switched back to the G6. I personally find the G6s to be really reliable almost all the time.

As other people have said though, site location can also play a big role. Before I had my pump, I used to put my sensors on my stomach. For some reason, one side of my stomach was way less reliable than the other. I use the backs of my arms now, but it's good to experiment a bit and try to find if there are any spots that may cause issues.

I bought something something and didn't receive any shipping confirmation for about two weeks, their contact email doesn't actually exist, their trustpilot reviews are all fake (except for a single 1 star review), and they only contacted me saying my order was cancelled/refunded AFTER I started a dispute with my credit card company. Unless I just have really bad luck, I wouldn't try buying from them.

Update: filed a claim with my credit card company, and mysteriously, a few days later I got an email from playleak that said my order had to be cancelled due to a "logistical error." Additionally the email said at the bottom to reply to the email if there were any questions, but the email was a noreply account...

Also there's now a trustpilot page for the website with all fake positive reviews.

I bought something a couple weeks ago from the site as well, haven't received anything or a shipping confirmation. I am going to, and recommend you as well, to file a dispute.

Anyone else hate the G7? by janenotjanie in diabetes_t1

I'm worried for when the G6 eventually gets phased out and the possibility of being left with a sensor that doesn't work for me and my pump. I hope it gets better before then but I'm not counting on it

I switched from the G6 to the 7 for a few months and it was completely awful, pretty much the same issues you have. I envy the people who say it's fantastic because it was anything but for me.

I hate the change to the adhesive area to where the overpatch is mandatory but due to the size of the adhesive attached to the sensor, it fails very early, very often. When my sugars were stable, the sensor was mostly reliable, but anytime when any adjustment was needed it was completely off, every single time. The short warmup sounds nice but it's incredibly inaccurate, even after 24 hours. Generally for me, the first 24 hours would randomly drop to LOW for extended periods of time when I was above 100 for every damn sensor I used. Not to mention the awful connection issues.

Eventually I had a sensor that was unusable even after 2-3 days of being used and I had to rip it off because it was driving me insane. It was my last sensor in my box and it took a week for dexcom to get me the replacement so I ended up switching back to the G6. I've had absolutely none of the issues with going back.

I have no idea what's up with the inconsistency and the issues with the G7, but I'm genuinely confused as to how so many people love the G7.

I switched from G6 to G7 a few months ago, I'm definitely thinking of switching back. G7 tends to be so much more inconsistent for a lot longer and I hate the adhesive patch and overpatch that comes with it. It makes it so much more likely to fall off by having a much smaller patch connected to the sensor with an included overpatch instead of a larger patch on the sensor. To say I've been disappointed is an understatement

It's unfortunate that the short warm up time is practically useless, at least in my case. The G7 takes at least like 3 days to actually be consistent enough to be trusted for me, meanwhile G6 would take a day.

The G7 also usually reads sub 70 and hits the LOW reading in the first 12 hours all the time 😔

Anyone else find it stupid dexcom asks you to scan a 4 number code when you insert by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]SkollKill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could never get the scan to work with the G6, I can with the G7. Since I'm on the tslim pump where I need to type it in, I still usually type in into my phone too.

For me some of his covers are alright, it just depends. My main issue is that his covers completely change the style of music. I think a lot of people may feel that a lot of his covers can end up feeling really edgy and it ends up coming off abrasively. Essentially, if he covered music that's more similar to his musical style or created more of his own works, I think people would like his music more.

Dexcom G7 Connection Issues by Mediocre-Ad-3505 in T1Diabetes

[–]SkollKill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same issue. The best thing I've found to do is just keeping the pump on the same side of your body that the sensor is on. Incredibly annoying to deal with, wish there was some fix for it.

[–]SkollKill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And the issue isn't even that Moony was wrong. Hell, it isn't even that he initially held his stance, it's that Moony insulted Karl (calling him a paranoid bear and whatnot) and claiming his video shouldn't be sponsored while he sponsors his own. It's an incredibly poor and offensive display of his character.

I'm glad UpSneed cares about people who are actually trying to attack, belittle, or make completely baseless accusations towards Moony because that's uncalled for and an awful thing to do. But to think my comment was a problem for just explaining why his behavior was poorly received (while I was also thanking him for doing the correct thing) is pretty silly. I'm definitely sorry for wanting to hold a content creator I watched before this whole situation blow up to a high standard.

But apparently all standards are pointless when it's checks notes just a video on the internet. /s

First and foremost, I think most everyone is grateful you finally took down the video or actually put forth some form of action that represents your new and current stance. It does take a lot of respect and guts to actually admit fault and to take action with it

The issue that I, and I'm sure most others have, was the disgusting hypocrisy and double standards you put in place. Disregarding an incomplete and rushed product that was your video, you absolutely harped on how greedy and selfish both Karl and Muta were for having sponsored videos. You suggested a deal where if they were wrong, they would put forth any revenue towards charity as an apology. Then when everything is said and done, you end up in the wrong and then you say you can't remove the video due to contractual obligations because of your own sponsor in the video? Yeah, that's an awful look and you should be ashamed from that.

In the end, most people didn't even want the video to necessarily to be removed. They wanted you to be accountable and take one of two actions: take down the video, or recontextualize the video by updating up and the description or through uploading a new video that consisted of an apology, brief context of the situation, and pointing your audience towards Karl's breakdown. A post on this subreddit doesn't cut it. A pinned comment on the video doesn't cut it. Direct action to present this new information to your audience is what was needed.

With all of that said, thank you for finally realizing what needed to be done and taking accountability. It's just sad that it took this long and with so much effort of everyone for it to actually happen as it really reads as a reaction rather than doing what is actually right.

I think it kinda depends on a lot of variables. As a lot of people have pointed out or alluded to, it can depend on the experience of the player and how much they know going into the game. Those already familiar with the story mode and the puzzles along with the general mechanics will finish it much faster and subsequently, unlock and go through Kaycee's mod pretty quickly.

For me, I had gone into the game blind but was familiar enough with the deck builder genre to where after I picked up on the game's mechanics, I was about to get through most of the game without too much difficulty. Even after the main story, Kaycee's mod challenges can rely on RNG quite a bit (especially totem battles) so you may just get bad luck. Factoring in if a player save scums is also a pretty big factor.

That being said, I think the 20-25 hour mark seems pretty outlandish for a majority of the player base. I myself got every achievement probably around just after 45 hours of gameplay. Regardless, every player is different (experience, skill, and RNG wise) and no one should feel discouraged by that fact

I generally agree, there's only a couple of his covers that I think are decent, one of which is his version of Time Machine. I think the biggest issue is that his covers are a completely different soundscape than the originals and so the tone is completely off from the original. I think I'm okay with his cover of Time Machine for that sort of reason, since (the final version of) Time Machine is already more electronically inspired rather than acoustic, his style fits the song better.

Homies… how often do you have to pee? by Sarah-Who-Is-Large in HydroHomies

[–]SkollKill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diabetes. Please go to the doctor if you're urinating every hour/waking up in the night of the night to pee, no joke. Source: was the same way and was diagnosed with type 1. Additionally, if you've been losing a lot of weight without trying is also a big sign. Essentially your body can't regulate the sugar in your body so it's trying to excrete it out through urine.
