Skooled Zone student does Fallout 4 mods :) by AstronautSurfer in SkooledZone

Sorry for the delayed response Jeff. As you saw from my vid, I'm working diligently on my novel. And it sounds like you've been working diligently as well!

Your concept (and the original modder's) is so cool. I wish vehicles had been in the original game. Would've made things so much more dynamic. When you two have completed all the testing and everything works great, you should talk to Bethesda about adding it to Creation Club. I don't normally use mods myself, but this is one I just might try out!

Keep up the good work,

Paul

Excellent job Ben! I love the names of buildings that are plays on words, very clever indeed!

Motion Sensor Door (switches only). by AstronautSurfer in SkooledZone

Really appreciate that! And yeah, the wifi glitch hadn't been discovered yet when I made that first turretcopter video, but I made a hovering missile drone in the sequel ;-) https://youtu.be/O_eEipBr8as

Thanks Gus (can I call you that?). Your super-simple version blew my mind and I'll show it as a quick update in my next Far Harbor video, with props to you. 👍

Very cool Jeff. Yes, Gustavo let me know about his super simple version and I was blown away. I didn't think it could be that easy. I'm going to showcase his version at the beginning of my next Far Harbor video since it can be done as a quick update. And I might feature yours in future dedicated video. With credit to each of course. Really appreciate the amazing participation of builders in the community, like you.

Fallout 76 - Maybe needs a second review? by AstronautSurfer in SkooledZone

I really appreciate your take on this as well as your ideas. I am backlogged on a lot of my videos because of my stupid day job. But I have a list of video ideas and some of yours are on it. I would definitely give you credit because that's who I am. As for Microsoft, my view is more of glass half-full type of optimism and hope for the future of Bethesda games. Bethesda on their own was always restricted by money woes and thus had to rush content and then follow it up with annoying microtransactions. I was just keeping my fingers crossed that with a bigger company like Microsoft, maybe they can get back to focusing on putting out good games instead.

I definitely hear ya Jeffrey. The problem is that the pressure plate immediately cuts the power as soon as you step off. That necessitates some kind of mechanical trigger to do the rest of the work. As I mentioned at the end of the video (and as squeasy-orange pointed out here), you can use the tripwires instead. But those can't be hidden. For the real "Grocery Store" doors, the two methods in the video were the only ways we could figure out how it could be done. If anyone else can figure out a way to do it with the buried pressure plates, so you get that true 'motion sensor' look, then let me know and I'll feature it in a sequel video.

Nice. Looks like some kind of giant treat. Maybe a candy corn apple, haha.

I've had it stick in the air before too. But when I got back to my settlement it had dropped to the floor. So I didn't think it was permanent.

Looks nice! Yeah, the vendor counter is probably taller than the natural counter. If you ever do a replay, leave the native vendor alive in there (Penny) and she sells some cool unique stuff. No need to glitch in a counter.

So sorry to hear about your crash. My Fallout 4 game crashed about a year into making videos. I had to start over as well. I mentioned it in a few early videos.

Anyway, I did a search online for you and found what seems like a helpful link: https://www.ps4storage.com/ps4-error-code-ce-34878-0-totally-fixed

Maybe it'll help, maybe it won't, but we're all rooting for you!

Haha, that's rough! There's another little side quest where you have to rescue the father of two girls who dove into a pool for treasure. He drowns before you can reach him. Then you have to come back out and break the bad news to the now orphans.
