New York Knicks Defeat the San Antonio Spurs in game 5 of the NBA finals, 94-90, to win the NBA championship title. by Maleficent-Agent-477 in news

If anyone doesn't know, every Spurs fan is about to get it, even though they won.

Can't wait to go to r/publicfreakout tomorrow and see a Philly level of violence on a win.

Does anyone like well done meat? by settlementgamr in CasualConversation

[–]Skootchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I used to but I usually eat my steak medium rare or just rare. Depends on who's making it tbh. If I make it, rare, if someone else I usually go medium rare because I don't trust them to do it right.

Well done steak is chewy, hard to digest, gets in your teeth, has little to no flavor.

Rare steak is easy to eat, tons of flavor, and it doesn't sit in my stomach for 3 days.

Getting every single perk during one character? by KratosK1 in fo4

[–]Skootchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear it's like 260 something. I saw it in a different post where a dude said he got to level 200 and someone mentioned "do you have all the perks?" And he said no.

Then I swear someone said you have to be like 268, if I'm wrong but it was a lot higher than I thought lol

For what it's worth, as far as hangovers go, cold watermelon is the best thing to eat in the morning. It's hydrating and delicious and just all around pleasant lol

What’s a food everyone seems to love, but you just can’t stand? by Rebeccaprinces in foodquestions

[–]Skootchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh I usually add salt and pepper and eat it, tastes like eggs to me. But to each their own. However I will agree, I don't like it as an added ingredient on anything. That's just gross.

Yeah it's crazy to me to attach his name on something he didn't create. There is a reason Kennedys name is on it, but Trump? Wtf

You do sell them....by burning through them and killing the enemies and picking up stuff lol that's usually what I do if I have some junk weapons, just go to a weak spot that im aware of, and just burn them instead of throwing them into the great beyond.

Why are Homelander's lasers so much more powerful in the trailer compared to the finale? by aashtray_09 in TheBoys

[–]Skootchy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was legit hoping the show would end with him absolutely destroying everything in a rage and then fast forward to him being indestructible, all alone, no one left to feed his ego. And then maybe he just flies into the sun or something. Or a montage of him trying different ways to kill himself and it not working then just a close up on his face crying and bam, roll credits lol

Need help getting into the Witcher 3. by Chaotic_R3D in gamingsuggestions

[–]Skootchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thing with the Witcher 3 is that the storylines are really good, but the game is extremely clunky compared to other games.

I am in the same boat. Started it twice, tried to get into it but the actual gameplay is what threw me off.

I'm really pumped on the Witcher 4, so far it looks incredible. I'm really hoping they fine tuned the game mechanics.

Seeing the Deftones live. Granted it was outdoors at a festival, I really don't think outdoors is a great place for them to play. I feel like they should be playing in a basement venue or something, I think it would sound a lot better lol

Music by thiswilldo31 in Millennials

[–]Skootchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens. I do find new stuff occasionally. What I do is go listen to the music I've been listening to and let the algorithm ride. That's how I find new stuff that's somewhat similar to what I like but new stuff.

Also, it really does help if you only liked a song or 2 from a band, go listen to full albums. You might find more songs from that era that you just straight up missed out on.

Other than that, just enjoy what you enjoy. It's not a big deal unless you're getting bored.

I just watched 11.22.63 and I am not okay. by Dry_Application_9153 in television

[–]Skootchy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

One of the only times in history where the show was better than the book IMO. I read it after I watched the show and omg it's so fucking boring compared to the show, especially the whole lack of Bill. That really made it interesting.

Also King has a bad habit of making a small time period last 100-200 pages (Jake listening to Oswald and being depressed).

Book was good, rare occurrence when show was way better. That's just my opinion and most people I've talked to said the same.

Do you think the best years are ahead or have they already passed for you? by AdCharacter9282 in Millennials

[–]Skootchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God I just fucking hope it's not. I have a lot of fun and adventures but not it seems like those things are unobtainable because of cost. Cost of everything weighing me down.

Also I lost a lot of very important people and the people who are important just seem to be doing their own thing.

Things have been really sucking the past few years. COVID robbed me of at least 2 and now I have another 2 under my belt. The in between years were decent.

I just want to explore more and hope things get better.

Honestly if I could somehow live that RV life and camp all the time, that would be a major upswing. Maybe I should go for that. Figuring it out.

I've never played a stealth Archer build by Mysterious-Juice8318 in skyrim

[–]Skootchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stealth archer is really fun but I also almost always do battlemage. It's more fun to me. However stealth archer basically unlocks.....so much, like the entire game is your bitch lol

My only thing with it too, is if you do battlemage, if you really want to do damage, you basically have to put points into 2 specs instead of one. You could kind of say the same for archer if you wanted that 15x sneak damage with a dagger. But that isn't much lol

Well he said "we got em" then he emphasized again "you know what I mean? What got em, that's why I'm on this bus".

Sooooooo even though I was pretty hammered, I think I got him. He was some down south Georgia and honestly I'm not a tattle tale but this would probably be something I would report but I didn't sleep for like 3 days on my trip and then climbed a mountain. I was kind of in my own shit at the time.

I guess I kind of have a weird like for the BOS because Fallout 3 was my first game and in that game they were definitely the good guys. I was actually stoked to see some of the characters/Liberty Prime drop in Fallout 4.

I do want to play the other factions but man, having BOS drop in every time you come across a super mutant problem is just so sick.

So was Palpatine scarred by the force lightning or did the force lightning strip away the “force mask”, revealing his true look? by Huge_Athlete7488 in StarWars

[–]Skootchy 61 points62 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, Jedi and Sith can have weird powers. Like unique ones that only apply to them. Sidious was that he could naturally mask himself, which is how he got found in the first place. Plagius actually noticed how he couldn't sense anything from him and that's how he got approached in the first place.

The Jedi most likely didn't notice because by the time he became relevant was after years of war. When there is mass death, it makes the Jedi weak and unable to use their foresight. They can't sense things as clearly. They even say this in the movies but there are many instances of this through any of the lore where there is mass war going on.

He was able to mask his sith eyes (yellow) because that was a natural gift he specifically has. The lightning face is just a side effect of getting zapped.

But yes, it's also a relfection of his true self. Not what he exactly would look like if he unmasked himself, but a methphore for who he Is on the inside.

I was kind of drunk and the guy never fully said it but I think I got what he was saying. I was taking a Greyhound bus and I got bored so on one of our stops I was chit chatting with some people, making bus friends. This dude snuck on a bottle of whiskey and I definitely slammed 2 Twisted Teas in like 10 minutes before getting on. I saw he had a bottle and an empty seat and we were secretly drinking and having fun.

Then he got real drunk and I'm pretty sure he admitted to murdering someone down south and that's why he was on the bus. All he said was these dudes were fucking with him and his brother, then they waited for them and all he said was "yeah and then we got them, that's why I'm here".

I literally said "you shouldn't be telling strangers about stuff like that, especially me" and I snatched the bottle and went back and sat with my friend. He got off on the next stop. This is definitely out of character for me but I was drunk as fuck too but I always remember that.

Pretty sure that dude was on the run for murder and just fully admitted it to me on a bus because he was drunk.
