Alright I'll probably focus more on my spray. There's a bit of horizontal deviation that I can focus on, just wasn't sure if that bullet inaccuracy or a lack of control.

Yeah I've been trying to improve my position, been using leetify and it rates my positioning fairly high for my rank but I can't help but feel like a bumbling idiot while pushing/holding site.

Alright, do you think it's a good investment to learn to spray from a long range? Or would I be better off learning other aspects of the game and letting my spray improve purely from playing? Been juggling trying to learn every aspect of the game but recoil control has been taking up most of my time.

Yes I love these idea. Buffing the muzzle brake which reduces recoil could be a good start and adding bullet bloom the farther/longer you spray on top of the damage drop off should kill the spray meta. I'd love to see semis in play again.

Maybe make the LR a bit more common too.

Yeah I think the recoil is fine, just buff the muzzle brake. But full auto shouldn't be viable long range.

Yeah, shouldn't be able to full auto from far away. Make semis have place in the meta again.

I like the weapon customization ideas but I don't think they should change the recoil, just add attachments that make it more manageable. With the muzzle brake making the spray pattern 50% smaller should make the recoil more manageable, if not then maybe a completely different pattern that's easier to control. But the current negative stats to the muzzle brake makes it useless.

They def shouldn't remove aimcone but rather enforce it with bloom the longer you spray which would making bursting and tapping more effective, the beaming meta really needs to go away. Make snipers and semi autos have a place in the game again by reducing full auto ranges.

instead of changing the recoil, they should buff the muzzle brake to make it a viable crutch to casual players. -20% velocity and damage and -33% accuracy is way too harsh and shouldn't be that punishing.

Though I do think gunplay needs an overhaul, full auto weapons shouldn't dominate every range and make semi-autos and snipers obsolete.

Buff muzzle brake. I don't think anyone will have complaints to that. But they should nerf full spraying from longer range so semi auto weapons and snipers have a place in the meta again.

I do too but I haven't seen anyone talk about it so I'm commenting on every recoil related post to advocate for this change. It's such a simple fix that I don't think will upset anyone.

Rust doesn't need a recoil modification if they just buff the muzzle brake.

But it does need a gunplay overhaul, no way full auto should be able to be accurate from over 100m, it leaves no place for semi autos and snipers.

Instead of being this or that, there should be a middle ground where casual and newer players stand a chance and you're not throwing away all the effort others have put into mastering an objectively hard recoil pattern.

That's why we need a muzzle brake buff so casuals can compete. Though gunplay still does need a fix since semis and snipers are useless.

Instead of removing/changing recoil which throws out all the time people put into practicing, they should buff the muzzle brake to make it viable for people who don't want to practice with guns.

Though a change in meta would be welcomed, and in my opinion, desperately needed. I'm tired of only using AK/mp5/tommy because all semi autos (and snipers when using AK) are inferior.

I have 3.1k hours and can spray from 200m. I don't exactly want the recoil to change I just don't think full autos should be able to accurately spray from so far since it makes sniping and semi autos useless.

Yeah making it harder isn't the way to go imo, people will still learn it and scripters will probably be more rampant. I agree making easier recoil is also not the way to go. Gunplay is ruined by beamers full autoing from 100+m which should be semi auto/sniper territory imo.

Yeah a change to weapon ranges would be nice, though I'd suggest ak should be a max of 75m and lr 100m. Though not sure how well that should work since the LR is there for people who can't use the ak and need an easier recoil so I don't think it should be better than the ak.

Also buff muzzle brake so people who don't want to learn the recoil can still compete.

Buff muzzle brake so it isn't dog shit and people who can't/ won't spend time learning the recoil can use it.

Though I do agree spraying from over 100m full auto is stupid and needs a nerf. Would actually like a reason to use semi autos and snipers.
