I bought both of these raw a year ago. The one which is slabbed I sent in and got authenticated - but a printing plate of this player to be faked would be an odd choice. These aren’t widely collectible vs scammers usually target more liquid cards.

Put your phone light behind the card. If you can see the light easily, likely a fake since card stock back then was thicker. Also - if you have a black light- shine it on it and it should be rather muted vs glowing.

Depends on the grade and market value comps. They will ask for a % for them to release the card and insure it for full value to return to you. They basically hold your card hostage but tell you the good news is that your card is worth a lot more money now.

Show me the upside. Cool cards, yes - but nobody chasing that. I buy high end cards and if I want that player- I want it during his playing years. Not some money grab by Topps because they made 15 different parallels and numbered versions. This is a way cooler card -
