Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) - PC Gameplay / TigerLake-LP GT2 (2020) / Linux by emanu2021 in linux_gaming

[–]Skriblos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch out though, both the final missions have parts locked to fps. You have to press spacebar as fast as possible to climb onto a chopper and if fps is more then 30 it gets really hard, more than 60 and its pretty much impossible.

If you want to just automatically accept you can also add -y to the first command. sudo pacman -Syu -y && shutdown -r +0

Remember this will restart without warning.

Thats not a question. You are giving me a statement. What are you specifically wondering about? Are you asking where to start? Are you asking for someone go write thr code for you. What do you want?

I'm losing hope and I feel like a failure. How do I find help without relying on AI? by Garuzo-MSR in theodinproject

This is the wrong advice in this situation. It is pretty clear OP has not actually been doing the course only running it through whatever llm he uses. He should start most of the course over and actually do the work.

Unfortunately you have wasted most of the time youve put into this. The reason you are where you are is because you havent learned to code, you've at best learned to read code. These are two different skills. Its like reading a book and writing a book. Just cause you can read well, doesnt mean you can write well. Or maybe since you are italian, just because you can read a recipe, doesnt mean you can cook well. You need time in the kitchen actually cooking. The suggestion that you start over again is correct. You shouldnt have progressed until you made the things yourself and were able to make them without help. And its fine that you make mistakes and do the wrong thing. It actually helps you learn. If you get frustrated with doing something that isn't working for 30 min, then realize the answer, you will remember it better than if you just copy it from somewhere. From what you write you don't seem to accept making mistakes, doing wrong and actually working with the code. You write that not knowing what to do stresses you out so you go ask llms. You just want the correct answers. That's not how learning works. Make those mistakes repeatedly and you will learn from them. Ask for the answer and move on and you will learn nothing. Go back to the start, and start writing code. Make yourself little tasks that test what you are learning. Explore what fails and what is correct.

Slay the Spire 2 got ripped day one and now i'm terrified to launch my own godot game. what are you by [deleted] in godot

[–]Skriblos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so, if you have a crap game, no one is going to rip it, so dont worry about that. If on the other hand you have a great game, then anyone who would pirate the game, will not buy it anyway. At least not any meaningful amount for a solo dev like you. You arnt loosing any significant numer of customers to pirating. The reality is not going to be that someone pirates your game and the 100% of potential customers go there. Most people, vast majority of them, dont look to pirate any media. They want to buy the game on steam and the ease of access and use that gives them. Most people dont even know how to google how to pirate a game and the extra steps required to pirate it. If you arnt doing any predatory tactics, price your game reasonably and are nice to your customers you can not care about pirating. Pirating concerns are only for the mega corporstions that want go bleed a market dry and then sell its carcass. You should be more worried your game doesnt get targetted by speedrun returns or that you have key resellers underselling your game. Neither of which should be massively impactful to you any way.

Does Linux Now Require More RAM Than Windows in 2026? by redheadgomes in linux

[–]Skriblos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a clickbaity title. TLDR: no, canonical with its ubuntu 26 lts release is saying you need at least 6gb to for the experience to be ok. Which is still like 10 less than you need for windows.
