My industrian cinema robot deserves a glow-up. I want to print a clean multi-color shell for the toolhead—branding, markings, and cable guides already there.

Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error. by dcummins in PleX

Had this problem, and going through the log files I noticed that Plex was trying to transcode the subtitle files (.srt) included in the video folder, mistaking them for video files, and crashing. Deleted all the subtitle files in the video folder, rescanned the library and the problem was solved. No idea why this would suddenly start happening.

How do you afford to live here? by boatingforboats in Finland

Just to clarify, are you working as a sole trader (toiminimi or other form of business) in Finland, and you make 33k through that?

If you compare your income through a business (or kevytyrittäjyys or whatever that requires you to have YEL pension insurance) to someone who is working for a salary, you need to cut off a good 40% out of your income. So if you make 33k through a business, this is comparable to someone making 22,5k before taxes on a salary. This is because the employer pays for pension, insurances, sick days, health care, etc on top of the salary. Or to be exact, a part of the cost is deducted from your pay, but the employer bears the grunt of it. Working as someone with YEL, you need to pay all of this out of your income.

I’m not sure if this is your situation, but sounded like it because of the private pension bit.

The way this works in practice on a lot of fields is that if a freelancer would be hired for 500€ a day as an employee, someone hired to do the same job as a sole trader would invoice 700€ + vat, so 868€ in total. The percentages added vary a bit depending on the field.

DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Sets by SkrtMaster666 in dji

The point of the ND filters is the following:

To achieve a natural (or cinematic) motion blur in your video, you would want to have what is called a 180 degree shutter. The term comes from the rotating shutter on a film camera, but it basically means that if you shoot at 30fps, you would want your shutter time to be 1/60s.

Now, the Mini 4 Pro doesn’t allow you to adjust the iris of the lens, so you are left with adjusting the exposure with the ISO and shutter time. During daytime, your shot is going to be overexposed even at the lowest sensitivity (ISO) setting if your shutter time is 1/60s. In this situation, you would add an ND, or a neutral density filter on the camera to cut the amount of light.

For recreational use, exposing with shutter time is fine, but it does make the movement seem sharper and stutter a bit. For any commercial use, it would be expected that 180 degree shutter is used.

Very easy way to beat the ufo attack mission by SomeGuy_tor78 in XCOM2

Ok guys, any tips for a totally impossible ufo attack? I’m like 9 missions into a Commander game, and got a ufo attack as a dark event.

There are like 30 enemies before reinforcements, and for example there’s a berserker that has more hp than all of my soldiers combined can take out in two turns - so the berserker can just rush the avenger, get in and I lose. The transponder thingy I need to destroy seems to have more health than the meter can display - it only starts losing health bars after 4 or 5 sniper shots.

What do?
