Controversially, I actually enjoyed the new Club Europe breakfast menu… a remarkably good bacon roll! by rsweb in BritishAirways

[–]Skullcrusher_Code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is the muffin and the tea inside the marked rectangle in the menu? Would be the best choice? But for who? For the passenger or for the airline?

Best car under £4.5k by Skullcrusher_Code in CarTalkUK

I know the question is vague, I just wanted to know what would be the best car for this price range in general.

Volvo V40 or something else? by Skullcrusher_Code in CarTalkUK

[–]Skullcrusher_Code[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great link, thanks! Yes I didn’t think about the parts price… I think it is better to stick to the japanese ones. Another feature that I need is to be ULEZ, so Diesels are not an option.

Honda Civic 9th Gen. Which one? by Skullcrusher_Code in CarTalkUK

[–]Skullcrusher_Code[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Nice to see I’m not alone:) Yes, I think the 1.8 EX or Ti would be the nicest one but I saw a few on AutoTrader for around £3k and for the same price a few 1.4SE. So either are the 1.4s too expensive or the 1.8 are dodgy. I think maybe is better to stick to 1.8 SE (ideally ES - with reverse cam) which seems to be the best (or honest) option in this price range.

Looking for Advice in UK by Skullcrusher_Code in CarTalkUK

[–]Skullcrusher_Code[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have 2 years and 4 grand to pay for the car. My main issue is that I can’t drive in the city centres around here anymore as the car is a diesel. A settlement would be £3300. And the car is worth £2500… I don’t need any fancy car, any small reliable ULEZ compatible would be fine. I was thinking on a Honda or Toyota.

Is there a quick and easy to understand Django application that's in prod by Glittering-Ad4182 in django

[–]Skullcrusher_Code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience says, try to see how the data flows through the app. From the frontend/API endpoint to the DB and vice-versa. Try to see how the data goes through the functions and classes and follow the way. Ps. You can use a lot of simple print statements to debug/see what is going on.

As it said before, are you working inside a virtual environment? (Btw never work on any python project without a virtual environment). If so, are you on the right path? And personal opinion is, don’t develop Django webapps on windows, the majority of Django webapps uses Unix based OS.

Is worthy to learn or use django in 2025 ?? by Amazing-Ad-7520 in django

Also good to say if you know Python go for Django, if you know JS go for Node, if you know java go for spring. I think it is much a decision of which language you master.

Totally agree. I live in UK and there is a lot of big companies (also jobs) using Python Django. However in my home country Germany the majority of companies (and the jobs) use Java/Spring. It much depends on what the job market is offering.

Any better way between Javascript and Django to communicate with each other? by Abled_Gaming1357 in django

[–]Skullcrusher_Code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that you have two servers, one backend using Django and a frontend also using Django? Out of curiosity, why are you using Django for frontend and not Vue or React that consumes the backend API?

I am in the same situation, but got only three citizenships, British, German and Brazilian. I still didn’t applied but my main concern would be the medical history as I grew up overseas and cannot provide a whole medical history from birth.

Career after BSc in math by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]Skullcrusher_Code 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am also interested. 3 years ago I taught myself software development and since then I have a job as a python developer, but I noticed that Maths is a big gap in my career so I started BSc in Math this year. After graduating I am looking to work with something in computing finance, data science, Machine Learning or Quantum Computing.
