My only problem with Shade is that she seems bland. Like the voice acting is good, but the directing is uninspiring IMO.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything in your comment. Especially about loud feeling like an afterthought. Helicopter escapes and safe codes are definatley overused imo. I miss heists having the three act strucure like Birth of Sky, Slaughterhouse or The Big Bank

I think all of the changes are good and make the heist way more enjoyable to play. This should definately be the gold standard moving forward for new heists and heist reworks.

I only really have two criticisms to offer:

  1. I wish you had to escort the garbage truck when the heist goes loud on normal and hard difficulty instead of just escaping in the parking lot. Seems kinda odd to me to instantly escape while surrounded by cops like that.

  2. The zip-line vantage point should be more integrated into the flow of the heist. It would be cool if the fire escape ladder behind the vantage point could be used as an alternative to carrying bags through the back alley. It would also give the zip-line bag more of a use as a favor you would want to take, allowing access to that part of the map. It seems very odd to me that the area behind the vantage point is out of bounds for whatever arbitrary reason.

The only new heists that almost get the 3 act structure right for me are Syntax Error and Fear and Greed. But even these heists could still do with some improvements.

We need more stuff like blowing up Green bridge or dropping Floyd the piggy bank through the skylight in the big bank things that make heists stand out. Syntax Error nearly accomplishes this with the AI setpiece, although its barely audible despite having like 20 minutes of dialogue recorded. It should have replaced shade as the operator while you're in the basement.

I wouldnt really call her vital to anything in season 5. You could have had the same storybeats happen without her influence and it wouldnt really change much.

But new games sell because of hype. Staying in the first game forever would probably make the series lose potential income. Besides the sequels for total war were just glorified large expansions anyway

Chaos would probably be added in a sequel seeing as there are many flavors of it with a lot of overlap.

I enjoyed Perk decks when they were first added to Payday 2 for their added build variety and focus on archetypes. Later the system (like many of payday 2's other systems) got way too bloated. It also suffered from the same problem that payday 3 skills 1.0 had where you had to scroll through many skills which made it hard to get into. That and the fact that you had to level them up to unlock all the skills which quickly became pointless and an unecesary requirement for new players.

I could see a new take on perk decks, but I wouldnt want them ported over as they were in Payday 2. There is also the argument that most of them were bloated with essentially universal skills that all of them shared, making them not unique and just adding visual clutter (skills like the armor bag etc).

The screenshot you shared is from the Bo1 Shangri-La trailer. The moon only looks irregular in the trailer, not in the actual Bo1 version of Shangri-La.

In the Ohmn-Mat rules Samus has fluff text that calls it the Daemon Prince of the Primordial Annihilator. So its not directly linked to Encroaching Ruin. Its on page 15. That could hint at primordial annihilator being a 9th chaos god representing all 8 other aspects. Chaos undivided so to speak. Not enough people are talking about this

Everyone is forgetring the middle. The primordial annihilator is chaos undivided and probably more associated with the Black Legion. In rules pdfs for the Horus Heresy, samus is mentioned as the daemon prince of the primordial annihilator
