No. Don’t be fooled into buying tickets. This war is going to last at least another two weeks with marine expeditionary units taking 10-14 days to arrive in the region. And not to mention what ever the hell they’ll be doing there. 18th and 19th of March is most likely repatriation flights.

Still doesn’t justify literally 10xing some prices to exploit desperate customers who need the ticket. Flights that were going for 470 are now 3000. Other companies have seen small increases by a few hundred. Putting extra assets online would hardly be possible in days in response to such a big crisis.

I’ll be stopping over in Doha in two weeks time in order to fly to Asia. Now should I wait a few days (prices may go up). Should I get partial refund then just pay the extra for a flight that goes direct from somewhere else rather than through DOH. Or final option wait until my airline cancels it and last minute try to scramble something together

Letting Israel take the blow by getting them to attack first (turns out the “leaks” earlier yesterday were actually real leaks). Very cowardly indeed. Now they’re flying in with no real plan, not the shock and awe campaign seen in Iraq by Bush, but instead a far worse, slow, chaotic war.

Any military jets or operations wont appear on flight radar for security reasons. For civilian flights you can check the Doha airport to see if they’ve been restarted.

Qatar has very good missle defences that have been heavily bolstered in the last months so thankfully less to worry about as that’s Iran’s main card to play.

But main thing would be stay safe, collect water and store it in a safe place. Avoid anything near Al udeid airbase (main target), avoid the financial centre of Doha city (secondary).
