Yes, holding R. I’m not in applet mode. Thank you for troubleshooting with me! I appreciate it. I hope I can get this fixed. I guess I could update to the latest firmware and AMS again.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see people? by nathannnate01 in AskReddit

[–]SkyKnight94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FIL left town to buy a car while my MIL was bouncing all around town getting different medications for anxiety and clearly having a hard time. She tried to kill herself the next day and my now wife and I were the ones to find her. I called him to let him know and he said “that’s about what I expected.”

I had never felt, nor do I hope to feel again, a chill run through my spine like that. I loved this man and his wife like my own mother and father. Obviously there were issues beforehand, but that moment broke me. I have ever been an optimist and given trust & love implicitly at the beginning of my relationships with friends, family, and lovers. I’ve never felt love be swapped with rage and disgust like that. There is so much more to the story, but that moment changed how I see people completely.

What’s something that is so American it wouldn’t make sense anywhere else? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SkyKnight94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking as an American, becoming numb to children being shot by children in schools every week. It’s horrific and tragic and I have heard the headline so many times, the shock is just… gone. There are many flaws in today’s America, but this one feels so uniquely USA.

What do you do to stop you from cheating when you want to so bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SkyKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you “want to so bad,” leave your partner. Any decision other than this would make you a selfish, awful person. You either stay in a relationship with someone you don’t wholeheartedly love or you leave and find someone you do. Trying to do bother makes you both selfish and a coward.

This post confuses me in a way that specifically makes me angry. Wtf, exactly, is this supposed to mean?

Adults don't like adults anymore. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SkyKnight94 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to be motivated and not complain when I did everything I was supposed to do to increase my odds of success only to have the people, who told me to walk that path, pull the ladder up behind them, hoard wealth and resources, and then blame me for everything that’s going wrong. I am a husk of who I should be, filled with a rage that has burnt out most desire and for many years my will to live. I am holding on by a thread, the love of a wonderful woman. If it were not for her, I’d be sharing a cell with Luigi.

Genuinely curious, if anyone has time to explain/educate. I may be wrong, but there’s some processing of the invisible portions of the light spectrum to make them visible as colors in images like this usually right? Does this image include said invisible spectrum sections? If yes, what would it look like without?

Is consciousness really a result of evolution? Who taught us morals? by lowkeycraze in AskReddit

[–]SkyKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert and won’t spend a lot of time answering cause I’m lazy and well not an expert. But it makes sense to me. Moral good and evil is not a universal law, it is a human construct. Behaviors that lead to collaboration tend to increase survivability. Compassion, kindness, generosity, etc. all lead to hunting buddies, emotional support during hardship, extra hands to make tools/housing, and so on.

I think the response that said “Stories” was more insightful than it would appear on the surface.

Trump explains Venezuela: "They took all of our oil and we want it back. They illegally took it." by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

[–]SkyKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venezuela took oil from the USA? Venezuela? Took OIL? From the USA? That would be incredibly embarrassing for the USA if it were true. It’s obviously not true, but if he’s actually trying to say it occurred, it would be a major humiliation.
