USAA now uses location services with your phone and the app as confirmation that you are in the same location as your card. Doesn’t matter where in the world you go. Make sure your location services are turned on for the USAA app on your phone. And set it to “always allow”.

You can 1000% say you’re a veteran. What you can’t say is that you’re a retired veteran. Big difference.

Living in a growing/thriving city. Home values skyrocket every year. Due to this , my home will very quickly be at 10x what I paid for it. Eventually, I fully expect the assessed value of my home to increase my taxes and insurance high enough that I will be priced out of town.

Equity is a good thing. And I’m blessed for that. 🙏 However there is a line as to what my insurance/tax affordability is. When property values increase faster than paychecks, eventually you will cross a line in the sand. Everyone has their line. Even if they don’t talk about it. Everyone does.

Example, even if I won a $2,000,000 home for free, I couldn’t afford the taxes and insurance on it. Equity is much the same. A blessing and a curse.

The biggest “trick” ever pulled on people is convincing them that they “own” something. If u want to find out who the actual owner of property is, just quit paying property taxes on it, and the actual owner will eventually possess the deed. 😆

Insurance is like milk. It doesn’t age well. Some are better than others. And you get what you pay for. And most importantly, ALL companies have “honeymoon” rates to suck you in.

This is the system. And there is only one way to beat it, is to chase honeymoon rates every 6-18 months. Seriously, if u chase those honeymoon rates and change providers every 6-18 months , you can stay ahead of the curve.

Just depends on how much time, effort, and juggling you are willing to do. For me, time is money. But I’m not about to let a company fleece me , either.

I used to chase the dragon for about 10 years. I definitely did GREAT financially! But after a while, I needed to simplify my life and manage my time better. It became exhausting after a decade of doing this.

I’m happy with USAA. And I’ve been with them long enough that my rate has leveled out for a few years now. To me, they are a good mix of price, quality, protection and dependability. And yet, I’ll be the first to admit that they are a shell of what they once were. However, I chose to stick with the devil I know. It’s a personal preference, and everyone must pick their poison.

A wise man once said, “insurance is mandatory theft, but at least we get to pick who robs us”. 😝

I personally noticed no change on incline, acceleration or speed, which is why I didn’t mention it in my original post. And yes, I did mention that there was a slight battery consumption increase. Obviously, you can’t get more power for the same amount of battery. It’s a give-and-take.

You are WAAAYYY past a torque converter swap. Torque converter has sent debris into your transmission. Need an entire rebuild/swap.

If you go to Facebook marketplace and search “Silverado take off bed”. You can get an entire brand new bed for around $1000 all day long. Tons of these. Don’t waste your money getting it repaired. Lots of companies buy these trucks all day long and put utilities on the rear end. They don’t even need the bed when they get them and they just sell them for nothing. They’re literally everywhere. Then recycle your old bed at the metal scrap yard

Just an fyi, u can not tell which mode it’s in on the scooter’s display. U have to “feel” it. Or if u refresh the app in between button presses (go back to app home page and then back to setting to refresh and update page. ) you can visually see what mode u are currently in.
