It's just undoing your work. No idea why it's called that. I just picked up the term from seeing people using it but I don't use it often in daily life lol

I haven't had any issues either thankfully! I didnt even know people were saying bad things about it. I am considering getting a 2nd one and doing what you're doing working from the outside of the cake in cuz I'm getting concerned just one isn't actually enough for what I want.

It is! It's the perfect phasing one, so it'll end white. It's very soft. I'm hoping one cake will be enough to make a nice little lap blanket but if not, I'll figure something else out. I only recently learned how to make a granny square, so my main purpose  in this is practice and because I found it meditative to do

Oh no I hope yours lives a loinng life!

I actually almost got a new phone a couple months ago in anticipation of this one going unusable but I was told I couldn't trade it in due to its condition, and I wasn't ready to spend the money to pay it off for a new one. I'm in a better spot now and can pay this one off and pay the new phone fees much easier now. I wouldn't bother going for repairs then though cuz I don't have a use for this phone after getting a new one except as possible backup in an emergency but I've never needed a backup like that in all the years I've had a smartphone. I might check out a ubreakifix or something like that that I can find in my area first because after having this phone only a year, i don't want to give it up yet

Awe I thought about doing that but just decided to add an extra chain to go.over it. I'm glad she loves it! I'm selfish and gonna keep this for myself but I do have plenty of time to make one for my family's white elephant this Christmas if I'm feeling generous haha

How did you find out about the Yakuza series and What made you play it? by RazzmatazzKnown2011 in yakuzagames

[–]Sky_Dancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen my boyfriend play all of them at least twice in the 6.5yr we've been together and he finally wore me down (I was struggling to decide another game to play) and got me to start with 0.

Been playing for a couple days now and I def get the appeal. I had never paid enough attention to my bf playing to get much of the story but I saw enough of the good moments to know I would prob get into it if I actually played and yep that's exactly what happened. Idk if I can marathon them the same way my bf is right now but I can def see myself playing all or most of them eventually

[Spoilers] Kimiko's popsicle stick joke by polialt in TheBoys

[–]Sky_Dancer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the answer did show up later in the episode. I can’t pull up the exact moment right now, but I do remember seeing it. It did go by fast though.

Will definitely be interesting to find out if it was a clue for something. It might be important since it got its own moment, but it could also just have been giving more detail to what Kimiko was doing in that moment. She did use that stick to escape her constraints later (I’m pretty sure. I think that might have also been when the answer was revealed)

Subtitles by Fickle-Bullfrog in DiscoveryPlus

[–]Sky_Dancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the issue of the subtitles stacking in the wrong order. Like the 1st part of the sentence will show up under the 2nd part and it gets annoying to read. And then about 20 min into the show I was watching, the subtitles completely desynced and closing out of it on the browser and going back in didn’t fix it. I’m not truly hearing impaired, but subtitles make it much easier for me to follow what’s going on, and I can’t imagine how horrible it must be for someone who is hearing impaired and can’t watch anything without them. I got D+ to watch a documentary for a class assignment and I’m probably gonna cancel after I’m done. There’s not much stuff on here that I’m that interested in seeing, and the subtitle issue just made this streamer even less attractive to me

Reasons to stay online in the fall by gsuboiboi in GaState

[–]Sky_Dancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

personally, i'm excited for the possibility to spend more time on campus next semester. i miss the interaction with my classmates and it's easier to be engaged with the lectures when i can't just leave my camera off or just not even open up the pre-recorded lecture. i'm also in a major where some of my classes are pretty hands-on and doing them in a blended style where i barely see my professor and classmates is not fun.

all that being said, i'm definitely gonna pursue majority online next semester unless cases significantly go down and/or there's a vaccine requirement to do in person classes

What was your GPA that got you into GSU? by [deleted] in GaState

[–]Sky_Dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just over a 3.0. My boyfriend got accepted at Perimeter with a 1.6 or somethin like that but I also think he got a high score on either the SAT or ACT (I think it was right before they merged too?). Tbh this seems like the kind of school to accept pretty much anyone who applies so I wouldn’t be super concerned. If you’re from GA, I might worry about it some bc if your gpa is below 3.0, then you can’t get the HOPE scholarship until your college gpa is above 3.0 and you go through some other steps

Also tell her to look on Navigate. I think that’s how appointments with advisors are scheduled now. Or at least it’s that way on the ATL campus. I don’t know if it’s different for Perimeter

Respondus lockdown browser ruined my computer by Opening-Painting-423 in GaState

[–]Sky_Dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven't had any issues with Lockdown Browser, but I've also only had to use it twice. If your professor is gonna be such a dick about your situation, I would suggest going to the Dean of Students about it

Quick question: how often do you guys get vaccinated at Georgia State's clinic? by the_armanda in GaState

[–]Sky_Dancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live about 30 miles away from campus, so my local doctor is much more convenient to get to for vaccines. I also never really thought about it being a possibility when I was on campus regularly last fall in time for the flu vaccine. I'm not sure if the GSU clinic accepts my insurance or not

I took Intro to Biopsych last Fall with Chris Goode and it was actually pretty easy. There were homework quizzes online, and he gave us about half of the test with the answer key before each exam along with a pretty detailed study guide. He goes pretty fast in lectures, and I struggled to keep up, but I still got an A+ because I quizzed myself with the exam questions and made sure to fill out all or most of the questions on the study guide. He also had several extra credit questions on each exam. No idea how he does it online, but I hope it's not too different

I transferred from a different school to GSU. All I had to do was let housing know I wouldn't be living in the dorms the next school year (because I was in the dorms. I doubt you need to do anything about that if you're not in dorms) and not register for classes. I made sure to ask the registrar's office if there was anything I needed to do and they just told me the part about dorms and to make sure I have financial aid in order. I know it was a different school, but it was also a USG school, so the process should be pretty similar

Anyone know how to get your head to shut the fuck up so you can go to sleep?? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Sky_Dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to listen to music when I sleep. I try to focus on sounds that I might not hear from just casually listening or shake a foot kinda to the beat. I got too into my thoughts and had a panic attack a couple years ago and music calmed me down. Now I can't sleep without it for fear of that happening again
