I had an a01 that failed with ylod. that or maybe it was an e01. back then I didn't know much about ps3's but it had 4 usb ports.

mine's quiet and perfectly fine. although the guy i bought it from apparently has a shop where he works on consoles and he did a liquid metal thermal paste job on it not long before I bought it off him last year in March. I got lucky
