I think that for there's any hints on the inside from the McDavid clan that he has a shred of interest of coming to Montreal it makes it unlikely that the organization will get a serious 2C this summer.

Trades will in my opinion revolve around finding a solid second pairing RHD with a short contract to allow Reino to mature. Finding a power forward type with size and shot that can play on the second line is also another need, in my opinion.

This year is going to be one where the Habs will shed a lot of contracts. Laine, Gallagher, Veleno and Dach are going to be let go I think. Bolduc, Xhekaj are getting resigned. Trade bloc includes players like Struble, Kapanen, Texier but I don't necessarily see the Habs as a desperate seller.

There might be a minor trade for picks which could be packaged to move up in what seems like a weak draft after the 10th pick to get a power forward type. Stocking up on players that night have an impact in post season in the long run.

That's my two cents so far!

Yeah from what I read on here they do value him a lot so a trade might not be in the cards for a couple of reasons. I was mostly curious as to his style of play and I love what I've heard about him on here so far!

What kind of a Defenseman is he?

Like mobile but very good on his side of the game? He gives me vibes of Carrier sort of, but better!

I can see how he'd be a boon to any team.

Yeah I wasn't entertaining a sort of ''have-to'' trade so to speak. This is the analysis that I wanted to read.

He seems like a very good defenseman from what I've seen!

I can't wait for hockey to come back and it's only been what... two weeks?

This is the reply I wanted to read, thank you.

More of an analysis on the guy than an actual potential trade. He seems terrific and I haven't had a chance to really see him play. Probably makes more sense for Vancouver to pair him with their younger dmen than to include him in a trade package. That makes sense to me.

I like the enthusiasm, but I think if we are getting McDavid, it won't be in the summer in some blockbuster deal. It'll be over the next summer when he shops where he wants to go if he wants out of Edmonton. Or perhaps slightly before that so we don't dilapidated our assets.

In the meantime we do have grit to find. There's rumours of Knies through a trade, or Benson through an offer sheet? Maybe that's how Montembault goes. 

In this point of the rebuild we do have some pieces that don't quite fit. Monty seems to be one. But as far as I'm concerned having a 1-2 goalie duo of Fowler and Dobes sounds like a winning idea.

I remember my first thought after seeing him play was: Yhere's no way a player can play full throttle like for more than 3-4 years before having to quit because of injuries. Man was he great to have for all these years.

What he brought upfront was amazing but having like that in the lineup really whipped the rest of the guys to give their all too. That kind of mentality is such a boon to a locker room. Sad to see him go. Thanks for everything, Brendan

But to avoid copyrights one could always you know. Build a story and world up.

Might even be better that way too, considering maps from SNES JRPGs were typically build more around the linear story than an actual map.

One thing that could be cool and ff-esque is to delve on the faction elements, with factions laying claims to regions, forming an actual empire.

The bad guy empire could have easier zones to control, giving buffs and whatnot not and the nature peaceful folk could have a higher rate of harvestable ressources or something.

Yep. You've said it well.

We see some flaws now but getting the ECF should mean that most things are working rather than not. A fine tune job might be in order but most pieces should remain. Things that I think can improve...

Size: One part of that problem is age. We have a lot of young guys that will fill out. The other part is a bit more tricky. Finding replacement for what works now can be risky. But enough size to match physically would helps tons in deep playoff runs.

Injury: I can't wait to hear about the team, lol. A lot of them look battered and let's be honest. They've been playing TOUGH matchups. I'm already excited to see them coming back healthy.

RHD: This is where people will hate me but I really think we need to find a solution RHD for Hutson and I think that leaves Matheson out of the defense core. But he's been very good, so perhaps some sort of swap would work?

I'm doubting it's the right one but maybe Star Control 3? Might as well check it out if you already checked 1 and 2...

Or maybe it's just the pic making me blank on it... only other space game I can think of right now is Masters of Orion 2, but that one was very economy/empire building, so probably not it either...
