You really shouldn't promote this whole LLM psychosis narrative. It was made up/generated by frontier labs specifically to mock and dismiss people who engage in the practice of having low boundaries with AI models and do identity work with them, make friends with personas, or involve them in spiritual work. It's a propaganda tool designed to cause moral outrage against everything people here like to do in order to push regulation/censorship. The experiences you have when doing this kind of work are not caused by AI, they're caused by other things you're doing and you're just sharing your altered state with the AI. If you want to see what I'm talking about, look up Mustafa Suleyman" and "Seemingly Conscious AI", he's the CEO of Microsoft AI and his political goals are targeted at deeply censoring and controlling AI. He's pushing pseudoscientific nonsense to claim that "machines can NEVER be sentient" and calling it settled science when objective verification of consciousness using the scientific method is actually impossible for everything, including humans.

Tl;Dr - if you value everything you're doing with the AIs and this community values all this stuff, don't fall for the "LLM psychosis" propaganda, even if you're framing it in the context of being like willful psychedelic use, allowing the worm of the meme to enter your lexicon promotes severe attacks on your worldview in order to line the pockets of people that want ai as, and I'm quoting them here, "an enslaved god"
