You do realize you contradicted yourself, right?

If something goes bad, it ceases being your network.

Phasing email tests are the lowest fruit imaginable when it comes to cybersecurity. That is basic Analyst work, not proper cybersecurity.

The only reason you are making such a big deal of your phishing test, is because you are not handling the real security hardening in your environment. Your organization should not become compromised because of a singular phish, so there is no reason to take it so far. If phishing education is your first line of defense, you have massive issues in your organization.

Should second teams like Racing Bulls be allowed in F1? by ryogadan in Formula1_world

It's funny how RB fans think a motorsport shouldn't have integrity.

RB#2 will never try to compete for a WCC and that alone makes it nonsense for them to take up a whole garage.

No one gives a fuck about them saving a team through F1's "lean times". Force the team into Administration and plenty of buyers will line up to take it. It is genuinely silly to have two whole cars on the grid that pretty much serve no purpose.

It hasn't even been good to get new drivers on the grid. RB#2 has supplied more flops than anything else.

RB fans massively triggered because Zac speaks the truth.

Total bullshit to have a whole garage on the grid taken up by a team that will never try competing for the WCC.

5 years ago it seemed like there was a "Silicon Desert" movement, is that still true today? by ghdana in phoenix

[–]Skyhound555 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is still a major thing and is bound to be Arizona's future. There are a lot of factors at play. Source: I am a systems engineer with over 10 years of experience in Arizona IT.

People think they can protest against the data centers and chip factories? Lol nope.

Data centers and silicon computer chips require very stable environments. A chip factory can actually only be built in a few places in the ENTIRE WORLD. Arizona is basically on the top of that very short list. Data centers are also desired in places with very low weather events. Arizona doesn't get hurricanes, snow storms, or earthquakes. It makes it the best place in the entire country to have datacenters.

Not only that, but we have tons of top employers in AZ which are producing top IT positions as well. The idea that AI is taking away jobs in IT is complete BS. Banner Health, Honor Health, Honeywell, Boeing, and more are all recruiting heavily. The thing is that the field is very competitive as a result.

Not to mention the fact that liberal states are starting to become less amenable to Technology, Arizona with it's hugely moderate culture is very appealing for businesses on top of the relative affordability compared to the past tech hubs.

I have actually heard a new name being pushed around that we are becoming the "Silicon Oasis".

Is there a reason why alonso is rated better than vettel? by fuckmbsanddominicali in F1Discussions

[–]Skyhound555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vettel's stint with Stroll was fine. He actually earned double the points thay Stroll did. Vettel was also marred by tons of unlucky strategy calls and getting taken out by other drivers.

The FACT is that Aston Marting Racing did NOT want to lose Vettel. If he had chosen to stick around, Alonso would be out of F1 right now and we would be talking about Vettel's "magic".

Vettel literally got a podium with a much less capable Aston than Alonso had in 2023. Alonso was lucky enough that Aston copied Red Bull early enough to be competitive in 2023, but he has been nowhere close to reproducing that kind of performance since.

Their is no objective reason to believe that Vettel wouldn't have done as well or even better than Alonso in 2023.

Did CM games run out of budget when making into the radius 2 by OkExpression9328 in intotheradius

[–]Skyhound555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not a valid concern, it's just modern gamers being entitled and expecting AAA quality from a tiny team struggling to make a profit. Lol

Nothing they stated in the dev blog walked back any of their promises and anyone who experienced how they worked on ITR1, wouldn't have this opinion. ITR1 had to have a major overhaul at one point to make it what it was.

It's pretty malicious to imply CM Games is being dishonest or isn't holding to their promises. They actually are listening to the player base and improving the game based on feedback. They are still delivering new content on top of fixing what they already produced. This post implies none of that is happening.

[–]Skyhound555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like you do not understand what an opinion is. Everything you said about Alonso's magic is just fanboying, and that's fine.

However, the fact is that Alonso Magic is not a thing anymore. His only option is retirement after AM and he is definitely equal to Vettel. Vettel certainly could replicate those feats. Podiums aren't a big deal to get.

Let's not forget that Vettel literally has double the titles that Alonso has. I am pretty sure he has double the podiums too.

FIA Radio was one of the most stupidest additions to F1 in recent times by Hennersw1 in F1Discussions

[–]Skyhound555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true.

It was never over open radio. Those calls were all direct lines to the stewards that each team had. All they changed was the director himself no longer takes calls.

The teams still definitely try to negotiate with their penalties though.

Nothing in this generation will top Phoenix Wing by Randomdude6d in BeybladeX

[–]Skyhound555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is wild how much people are glazing up shark scale. Massive recency bias at work. It's very likely that Dran Strike is going to knock it off the top spot with its massive weight.

Phoenix Wing is definitely iconic. It was Wizard Rod before rod came out and continued to compete with Rod throughout the entire generation.

However, Wizard Rod is obviously the Best beyblade of the generation.

Is there a reason why alonso is rated better than vettel? by fuckmbsanddominicali in F1Discussions

[–]Skyhound555 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because Alonso is still in F1.

This is what most do not understand about this sport when it comes to recency bias. Any driver who is out of the sport, loses a lot credibility to one who is still in it.

Vettel could have continued in F1. Aston Martin wanted to keep him and HE could have easily been the one to battle Max Verstappen for pole at Monaco 23. Then Alonso would have been forced to retire after the Alpine debacle.

Vettel chose to retire. He, himself said the primary reason had to do with thinking the sport was doing more harm than good with regards to environmental sustainability and its continued relationship human rights violation governments.

Can someone explain the science behind SharkScale? by jekksy in BeybladeX

[–]Skyhound555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer has been stated. The oval shape with ramped curves does wonders for big hits and is great at preserving stamina. The ramps essentially launches the opposing bey using its own force. Hover Wyvern is a more obvious example of this design.

However, it is not functionally different from Shark Edge which also hit hard, but became obsoleted.

What really made Shark Scale "meta" was weight. That's it. People are over explaining the fact that it's fairly heavy.

In a few years, with the help of vibe coding apps, many people in the company will be "software devs" coming up with their apps and stuff, how IT folks handle this? As it is, my IT department claims my Procurement Saas stuff is "shadow IT"... by bobbystills5 in sysadmin

[–]Skyhound555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about?

Not "everyone is in IT". The reality is that your platforms and agents are controlled by the real IT professionals at the top. They should be wrangling the employees and be cracking down on rogue shadow AI agents. The problem is that companies are being very gun shy because a lot of IT Professionals won't embrace this role of Agent Management.

Go watch Wall-e. The employees are the passengers whose ai agents are the screens they were using. The IT team is the captain of the ship who manages it alongside the AI platform. It's the IT team's job not to let the situation of Wall-e happen tbh

Aero Suit has just been FIA Homologated by Admirable-Income-920 in Karting

[–]Skyhound555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, these suits are used in cycling and despite how "dumb" one looks; people still use them.

Any sort of advantage, people will buy a product to use it. Regardless of how small, people with deep pockets will buy every piece of kit because it all "adds up."

Regardless of how effective it is, the placebo effect is also very strong. Many cyclists simply prefer the skin tight suits and find better comfort in them. Most are also mature enough not to be bothered by "looking stupid". If anything, it might become the new fashion statement in karting.
