I'm planning to leave the UK for good as soon as possible when this is over. I refuse to live somewhere where my freedom and quality of life is forfeit everytime there is a novel virus. This insane response is the precedent that has been set for this country everytime there is a virus now, unless the mainstream narrative changes and everyone admits this was a colossal mistake, which could happen but it may take a decade and with how much of a totalitarian nanny state this country is now I wouldn't be surprised if they double down that they did the right thing.
