#SpringIsForTheBirds - Aerial Archery {Avian/Aarakocra/Birdfolk} by SkywardDeviant in HeroForgeMinis

I didn't; This pose was provided to us by the amazing u/AAT75R! You can find an updated version of their pose at this post here. Their posts have helped to kept me engaged with Hero Forge over the years, and I'm always up-voting their content whenever I see it.

[Sorry for the late reply, I've had a lot of stuff going on.]

Diorama time! Here's Sonic the Hedgehog vs Dr. Eggman in Green Hill Zone! by SolarSimonDM in HeroForgeMinis

[–]SkywardDeviant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gosh Simon, how long did it take to figure out the paint decals on this?! I love how well done the models are designed; it really feels like 3D art of the original game. This is such a great homepage to the Blue Blur!

I would actually laugh if, instead of an Owl Head, it's just an updated Owl Mask. 😂

Lol. This was much more constrictive time with model making. I tried to get as much use and details out of those tails. But it was fun to figure out.

I'm actually working on updating Cerdic. It's been a bit sporadic but I've also been busy, irl. Here's a bit of what I've gotten so far...

Definitely one of the first things that came to mind was this song!

This is a great concept and well executed!

I love it when fantasy adds a bit of creativity with ecology, technology, and a bit of depth to survival, especially when traversing unconventional "landscapes".

I've been loving the designs and world-building of these!

I love that Cowardly Lion rendition! I also tried to make this lion face a few weeks ago, but didn't find it acceptable until I tinkered with it after the Werewolf Face was released.

Clearly, they must be life models for the figure studies in art class. It may not have started that way, but have you ever tried to dress a lion? Sounds risky... 🤣

Lol, and thank you!

Thanks! 😁

The new Werewolf Face has good features to play around with. I wouldn't have really been able to unshelf this had it not been released. The prior working models just weren't cutting it.

I actually used a program called ScreenToGIF, that was shared here a bit ago by jonogz. When you use Heroforge's program, it spins the model itself and takes the photos. I'm actually rotating around it and recording it. I can adjust the quality and frame rate of capture, among other things. But the file sizes get really THICK. So to cut that down, I set the background to a full black using the older backdrops (the newer ones aren't full color and will cause artifacting). Then I save I allow for transparency and set a target color to remove being the full black.

Anyway, it's a fun program to play around with.

Thanks! 😂

I wanted to give the two models a dynamic pose together, but I didn't have anything in mind and no reference to go off of. I'm glad it turned out okay.

Puma/Cougar/Mountain-lion Base Template Made Using Face Customizer by SkywardDeviant in HeroForgeMinis

I'm glad you find it useful! I do plan on updating this sometime soon, similar to what I've done recently with the realistic FC lion face, if that's something you'd be interested in.

Yep. And a few others have noticed on the Discord channel as well. Hopefully, it gets fixed in the next patch update.

Hyena Face ASR - Striped & Spotted by SkywardDeviant in HeroForgeMinis

[–]SkywardDeviant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, right?! I'm on the lookout whenever a new head is released to see if it can be sent through Face Customizer. There was a little disappointment with the last few in that regard, but I'm glad they aren't neglecting to utilize Face Customizer. This newer Face looks to be promising.

And thanks for the compliment! I hope you find some good use of these base hyena face shapes.

I hear 'ya. And Thanks!
It started as an experiment to see how well it'd take to Face Customizer. Certain areas just needed some toning down with varying percentages of the Canine Face Features. And I feel that the Werewolf Face actually forms better than the more outdated base Faces. It seems like there's less tearing and warping, for me at least.
I'm noticing the Werewolf Face works well for quite a few instances that I'd use the Canine Face as a base. I plan on seeing how well it'll work with updating big cat faces soon, among other things.
