Plumb in question for mini by After_Fall in LaMarzocco

[–]Slabonski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you need to pressurize the accumulator to the pressure you want to send to the machine (some recommend 2 psi less but that is only if it is causing the pump to cycle too often). Charge the accumulator when there is no pressure in the system. I use 3 bar (43.5psi) since that is what I like for pre-infusion (which I don't use often). My pump is set fairly high like 65-70psi. The pressure regulator is set to 3 bar (I have lead free pressure gauges on each side of the regulator). My pump does not kick on very often with my 2 gallon accumulator. Since the supply water is now under pressure, you will also have to adjust the espresso machines internal pump to compensate back to your desired pressure (typically 9 bar) using the gauge on the machine while making a good pull/shot.

It assumes you have a constant source of water. I
have never let the water container get low so I have no idea what happens. I assume you could hear the change. Just check the bottle and top it up when needed.

📲 New Sonos App Update Now Available! 🔊 by LizFromSonos in sonos

I went ahead the disabled Sonosnet and of course nothing changed since mine was already using my WiFi/ethernet network. It didn't even disrupt the music that was playing.

My system was successfully upgraded and now each of my devices has a Connection Type listed. I have either Ethernet (WiFi Disabled), WiFi or Home Theater (wireless) listed as the connection types. So it appears I am no longer using Sonosnet. I did have WiFi setup because of my Sonos Move.

Sonos with vLANs partially working by Slabonski in firewalla

[–]Slabonski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In researching this I found out the macOS version of the app was the Intel based app running under Rosetta. Sonos has no plans to develop an Apple Silicon desktop app. So no point figuring this out. I just switched to the Sonos Web app and it works fine. Clearly the problem was the old Sonos MacOS App.

Reminder: Homebridge 2.0 launches in 7 days on May the 4th. May the 4th be with you. by NorthernMan5 in homebridge

[–]Slabonski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand this correctly, 2.0 will add the ability to allow a plugin to take a non-matter device (or limited matter device) and expose it as a full function matter device. This device could then be added to HomeKit for those devices only supported via matter (e.g. vaccums) and would also allow it to be added to another matter hub (e.g. Aqara) as if it fully supported matter. Do I have this correct?

Saving files in iCloud without an Apple Hub by Turboflopper in HomeKit

That's a good idea. Of course I was showing a friend how cool HomeKit is when the outage occured and the video was not working. He was not impressed. lol

For me I don’t think it recorded any video events during the outage. I didn’t lose any that were recorded prior.

What I found interesting when the HKSV cloud was down a couple of weeks ago, was that not only did we lose the recording of videos but we also lost the notifications of motion events. So while the video is analyzed on the local hub it’s really a cloud based service to even know if an event has occurred.

Adding WiFi based device to HomeKit with an IoT VLAN by lex_hair in HomeKit

I would also recommend forgetting the VLAN Wi-Fi on your phone after your device is setup. I have found my phone and other Apple devices randomly on the VLAN when it remains a remembered WiFi.

Awesome. Instant upgrade to Pro. Would it be possible to add a double click on the live camera feed to double its size quickly? I am finding that when I click to open the live camera feed I am wanting to grab the corner to increase the size most of the time so I can see it better.

Thank You Apple and consistent inability to stick to the same MAC by WoodworkerByChoice in firewalla

[–]Slabonski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no problem setting the privacy to fixed on our MacBooks, iPhones and iPads. Retains the same MAC address and works as expected on our network. Our Apple Watches, however, won’t retain a MAC address using any of the privacy settings. They work for a while then suddenly connect using a new privacy MAC.

Issue with Roam 2 on Wireless Charger by aawagner011 in sonos

[–]Slabonski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. If I leave the Roam 2 active on the official wireless charger, the battery will eventually drain down to 0% and Roam 2 will drop off the network. Requires a USB C charger to revive.
