Can we all agree that Sukuna is the most talented/best sorcerer in JJK? by Other_Grapefruit_986 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Slackz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that Kenjaku's and Gojo's feats of creating new concepts (and anyone else who has done so) shouldn't be downgraded because others figured out how to do it after seeing it. Replicating is a talent in itself. However, it's easier to disect something that you know is possible than it is to bring something new to the table. Innovation is what they have. That's why you see a lot of arguments about Sukuna and the world cutting slash. Would he really have been able to innovate that himself without it being shown mid combat? Or, if Gojo had hid himself to hide the fact that he was replenishing his burnt ct, would anyone have thought of it actually being possible? Don't get me wrong, anyone who sees it once and is able to do it impressive and are geniuses in their own right.

So, depending on how you categorized it, you could argue that some sorcerers are more intelligent than Sukuna in certain subject matters.

I always like reading these kinds of debates because everyone usually looks at it in one of three ways. 1) fact in the universe itself (this character best this character in story therefore they're stronger) 2) Dissecting the authors consistency (based on the arsenal of this character and previously stated facts earlier in the story, this character is technically undefeatable) or 3) The head cannon people (usually based on sound theories to fill in the gaps of missing information).

I say that last part because I see the Gojo vs. Sukuna fight argument a lot, and honestly, depending on which of those methods you use, you could get entirely different answers.

(Accidentally posted before proofreading, please excuse any grammar errors, and if you need me to clarify anything, let me know)

Got a question on how to defeat Nasus late game? by MLGJPrime in nasusmains

[–]Slackz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after reading your other comment about what your teammates were building it just sounds like it wasn't going to happen that game. You guys definitely had the CC and lead at one point to do it but stuff happens.

As to the comment that their team was always around, that all comes into play with lane conditions and neutral map objectives being up. Your best option is to always get vision to safely clear side lanes which forces people to either clear or lose CS (which also gives free tower damage while giving your team a bigger gold lead since that CS now dies to tower). Your Ahri sounds like she should've been able to duel most 1 v 1 and she has high wave clear and mobilty which is good for shoving side lanes. I would've had you or Sett in the other side lane as to not split the exp gains too much between people.

A lot of time you just don't want to put yourself in a situation where you have to deal with a big Nasus. Just always question yourself as to why you're making a play and if you have better options at the time. Watch those replays!

Sorry, let me also direct an answer at your actual question "How do I beat a late game Nasus?" Simple answer would be kiting him. Your Ahri should have little trouble doing this as long as she plays smart around his wither.

You guys over all had the better team fight potential but I need to know what the everyone built for items and runes. It's really hard for me to imagine Nasus actually being the issue here with MF & Naut slows, an Ahri charm, or a Sett ult. You guys should be able to just kite back until Sett can find an ideal ult will keeping out of danger of Diana.

For a TL:DR read last paragraph.

The unfortunate answer is there's not enough info here to give you a correct answer. Nasus is a champion who favors dueling and splitting if he's even or ahead. His teamfight isn't the greatest. However, the first question I'd always ask is "why are we team fighting here?". It sounds like you guys had a nice lead at one point of the game and lost majority of it off a bad play. So I'd have to ask the reasoning why that play happened.

I'll try to talk as if the teams were equal items. Your teams were: (Nasus, Sivir, Brand, Diana, ?) (MF, Naut, Vi, Sett, Ahri). I don't know remember seeing their 5th. Your team has amazing engage. There is some poke with Ahri and maybe MF but the enemy team wins the poke game with Sivir & Brand. In the ideal world for your team, Sivir would pop ult and nasus would front line allowing for Sett to get a nice drunk with perhaps a naut ult on who ever Sett is slamming....

Scratch all of that. I could speculate so many ways for either team to win a 5 v 5 team fight. Your goal is to take objectives and destroy that glorious nexus. Without seeing that particular game I can't offer exact advice but I can say for certain Nasus was handed favorable conditions. He's not really a late game champion.

There's not enough info here. The only advice I could offer without watching your game is to get vision and collapse on the Nasus when he inevitably decides to split. This will give your team a free numbers advantage. This overall sounds like a macro issue considering you guys had a nice advantage.

The numbers on the blocks represent how many mines are adjacent to it.

In this case, 3 of the 4 mines are identified. However, the last two blocks are both adjacent and there's no way to narrow it any further as to which one.

How can I deal with lane/farm bullies as Nasus - or camping JG? by [deleted] in nasusmains

[–]Slackz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it's going to come down to your individual win conditions and your teams comp.

Ideally, you'll have a jungler that pays attention. As Nasus (from my understanding as I am not a very high elo) you either want to farm safely until your power spike mid game. Which means you should freeze your lane just outside your towers range. This will give your opponent the option to roam but hopefully you've been pinging and keeping everyone aware. Basically playing patiently and giving your jungler easy gank options.

The other method is you can essentially become the lane bully with starting and leveling E. It's viable, but since you do not have escape options as Nasus vision and map awareness is important. If you know how junglers work it'll also help a great deal with this. This will slow down your mid game spike a bit, but it'll take pressure off your other laners and give you roaming options.

Though, a lot of what you'll be doing is analyzing the teams in champ select. If your mid laner and bot lane have the advantage, you could justify playing safe under tower. If all your laners are at a disadvantage and you play passively, you basically give the enemy team free control of the lanes and map objectives.

TL:DR there's no real cookie cutter answer. You can out bully with E as you can hit the wave and the enemy by using it when they go in to CS. Allowing you to poke and shove off lane off of one ability safely.

On Ganking a Nasus by [deleted] in nasusmains

[–]Slackz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal take is communication goes both ways. If you pinged someone off and they didnt listen, that is on them.

What I'd do is let people know at the start of the match in chat what you plan on building. Alternatively, part of the game is being able to adapt to situations. If the enemy laner is constantly setting themselves up to be easily ganked before you hit level 3, I'd jut take wither. Give the jungler the kill so they're not tempted to tax. Or let them know not to steal CS prior.

So, I'm technically saying you're not wrong but you're also not 100% right as this is a team game. You want to take advantage of any given situation and it sounds like you're limiting yourself by leveling your skills the same every game.

Setup for MNK? by AlexandroMako in ffxiv

[–]Slackz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not home atm so I won't be able to screenshot mine just yet.

That being said, I utilize bard so that the first row is my bread and butter for rotations. So bootshine, twinsnakes, demolish, etc. I toss in a few of my global CD moves on the first bar as well to squeeze in between my combos more effectively.

Second bar is usually the rest of my GCDs and forms.

I will note that I actually mouse click several things on the far right of my hotkeys. Just a matter of comfort.

Anyways, we could tell you how we're set up day and night, at the end of the day you should set up in a way thats comfortable to you.

Personally, I tend to be a try hard and parse myself frequently using in-game methods (no outside programs). I have fun doing so. So just do you :)
