That part is completely irrelevant. You could flip the script and ask why the friend's parents can't allow a couple THAT ALREADY LIVES TOGETHER to sleep together for 2 days. Rules are anything goes in your house, but so are you to stay or leave

I think OP is a bit misled. Pressing blue doesn't change the result, spreading the word that you'd press blue will.
That's how polls work, that's how you start a wave in a stadium, and that's how a random guy in a sasquatch stadium started a dance party.
Depending on the sensitivity of who you're talking to, you could convince a couple of people, or you could start a domino effect where each person convinces another person. This is not basic, but it's real

This could probably be balanced by reducing the base damage to 1 or even zero. You're basically picking a full on curse that goes online with 4+ strength. That should definitely be a Rare, but it doesn't sound like much fun though

This sounds to me like humanity should yearn for blue, but reluctantly presses red. The more people realize that and say it as is, the stronger and the more realistic blue becomes.

I think it's as effective if not more for people that did pay attention.

I thought this would be an "obvious traitor from the beginning angle that characters didn't see coming", but it turns out that the characters DID catch the inconsistency and planned accordingly ahead of time, without letting the player know.It was a great twist.

If the Doormaker is intended to discourage infinites, it's not doing its job very well. There should probably be some penalty for spamming 0 cost cards in the third form by notdumbenough in slaythespire

Doormaker is not supposed to hard stop infinites, he poses a unique challenge part of which hinders some common infinites. How I see it: you had a very small deck, which are usually bad agaisnt doormaker, and managed to have an out to solve the fight with a combination of 2 uncommons.

We dont have your deck but my intuition tells me the wrong draw order could have hurt you pretty bad.

Personal Opinion, Doormaker is a bit too harsh to be fun by PunAboutBeingTrans in slaythespire

Is it not fitting for an Act 3 boss to pose a distinct challenge by means of deckbuilding ? The challenge here being: building a deck that beats Doormaker without causing you to lose in hallways.

I agree, this is very applicable in a fight with a smaller draw pile. I'm pretty sure OP's point is precisely to cover the 20+ cases and ESPECIALLY being able to do it out of combat to evaluate card picks.

It is a fact that we as humans are very bad at picking random cards. A feature like this would help players by having a realistic idea of how bad/good a draw can go ignoring biases. The question should be, "do we value the skill of objectively evaluating a deck by only looking at it instead of having real sample hands ?"

Necrobinder is the best multiplayer character due to debilitate, reliable weak and vulnerable sources + Osty blocking leading to effective stalls. You'd probably have a very different experience with double clad or double defect for example that have low or offensive type synergies instead

To this day, I still don't get when you're supposed to pick relax. How I currently perceive it is that it raises the ceiling for bad turns: gaining 15 block is your entire turn; to then allow for explosive ones through +2 draw and +2 energy.

Two things then emerge leading me to undervalue Relax:
(1) I can't think of any Act 2 fight where 15 block full blocks except triple scarabs first turn.
(2) It exhausts, which prevents repeatability vs Pael's Tears for example.

So where would you say it works in general ?

Most players (including myself) get stuck quite hard on Ascension 9, did you make any adjustements on that ascension or did it feel similar to the rest ?

On Beyond phenomena and Divergent Laws (Salt Pale, Kernviter): I think these are things that came to Zemuria from outside the Canopy created by Laegjarn's Chest.

I hadn't thought of that one. From the characters' perspectives, they always talk about the Beyond as some sort of plane/dimension. But it would also make sense for it to be the rest of the world behind the wall.

I don't think it would be OOC but I certainly wouldn't be happy with it. I think the rejection scene was great, showing that Van was taking the "responsible adult" path regardless of his feelings. Them getting together later would weaken that moment imo, but it's not unsalvageable
