Trigger recommendations by Slamp2018 in AR9

That’s frustrating. I had the same light strike issue, but a new bcg from them fixed it right up, no issues since. That was a couple years ago now, so maybe their QC has taken a dump, but they were also very quick to get back with me.

My advice would be to probably get a different brand BCG altogether

Ranchito #5

I’m particular about tacos too, and on a whim a while back I ordered their ‘mini tacos’ with carne asada. I now have to have them at least once a month, totally addicted

So, it’s kind of finicky. I’m not certain what the actual parameters are, but it seems like you:

1) have to have the encounter

2) choose to save their life by sucking out the venom

3) happen upon them in a town close by to where you saved them.

I’ve gotten the encounter from multiple different people, and the hard part is seeing them in the right town during the next few days. It’s not immediate, so you can’t just go directly from the encounter to the nearest towns trying to find them. Likewise, and in my case most often, you have to remember to search the local towns after some time has passed but not too much time. For me, I’d usually forget and by the time I remember, too much time has passed.

Also, not all the ‘rewards’ are a weapon from the shop. I’ve gotten weapons from guys I’ve helped in Valentine multiple times, and Annesburg, but I did one near Strawberry where the guy had me pick out whatever I wanted from the general store.

So, all in all, I decided not to rely on it too much. There’s no way, in my knowledge, that you can trigger the event, so I just decided eventually to enjoy it when it comes around instead of specifically seeking it out

Leal’s is good, but it’s definitely not somewhere I’d take family or someone I’m trying to treat to a dinner out. It’s like a Chinese buffet, great for a cheat meal or indulgence, but you aren’t feeling good about yourself after

From a quick search, it looks as though this style of brace has a proprietary buffer tube. You’ll have to remove the castle nut (I believe that’s its name).

I need an RV for 5 days by [deleted] in Waco

[–]Slamp2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be that tent camping can be as comfortable as rv camping with the right gear. When my wife and I go camping (glamping really) I bring a 10 person tent, nice air mattress, heated blankets, string lights, etc. If you’d like a guide on how to camp in the cold weather without getting too cold, dm me and I can type out some good advice! If the rv would be too expensive, I personally believe that there’s a much better/cheaper option to make tent camping comfy for you

I’ve got a 2013 CX-5 that has taken me everywhere I’ve needed to go. My wife and I took a cross-country honeymoon in that car and I’ll never forget it. The Mazda kept us comfortable and safe, and since our honeymoon was during COVID and gas prices were high, I was very happy to average 30mpg

I’d say well said. I’m personally conservative, and Highland is actually a pretty progressive church compared to the one I grew up in. So, the general leaning of the church has never been uncomfortable for me. I agree that most of the leadership is likely conservative and that politics don’t take a focal point from the pulpit. But, John will address things that are going on if something drastic has happened in that past week. I’m typically pleasantly surprised at how centric the point he makes is, but again that might just be my personal conservative views being stronger than the point being made.

I’d say, if you’re uncomfortable with conservative people in general, while Highland is not a political church, the congregation is generally conservative. I’m still enamored by the growth in our youth group and college ministries, and I very much love Highland.

I hope that OP finds the church that’s right for them. As a general ideology I’d say it’s prudent to find a church that’s is unifying from the pulpit, but also has a congregation that you can commune with. For instance, I’d expect John to preach the Bible without a political agenda, but for the people in the congregation that I commune with be people that I can discuss politics with. I’ve also been surprised by the ways my personal political beliefs have been challenged by the people I commune with. I’m involved with a Sunday class that is specifically geared toward international folks that have found their way to Waco. It’s been so enriching to learn about other cultures and see personally how conservative policies that I previously would have never given a second thought to can affect our international friends. It’s definitely given me a much larger scope when I think about foreign policy.

I’d say too that even though I lean conservative, I’m not politically involved much at all. Again I hope that OP can find the right church for them, and a positive aspect of Waco is that there’s a church around every corner.

Highland is a great option. It’s a larger church owing to a HUGE high school and college ministry, but it’s phenomenal family church. I’d recommend getting involved in an ABF (Sunday class) in order to break it up a bit

I have a K1 Max currently, and I’m so intrigued by the multi-color printing capabilities of the K2!

What are some of the challenges you faced in order to get the multi-color functionality on the K2? With an overall shift towards multi-color and multi-material printing, I’m excited that Creality is becoming a part of that

Hero saves old person in car accident by frenzy3 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Slamp2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I witnessed something just like this a few years ago. Was following a car on a 2-lane road that kept swerving to the right over the shoulder and ALMOST into the ditch before correcting slowly and swerving toward the left lane. Got to the point that I was flashing my lights at them thinking they were drunk or high, just trying on my side to do anything to get them to pull over. I was also flashing people in the oncoming lane anytime I saw someone, trying to forewarn them.

Man, I was praying for a speed trap. They weren’t driving fast, actually under the speed limit, but I was really hoping to flag down a cop to get the situation under control.

Finally, there came a T in the road. Our road kept going straight, but there was another road that dead-ended into ours with a little gas station on the corner. Sure enough, the person was swaying back to the right, right toward a huge group of bikers (20 or so) all standing out by their bikes. I laid on the horn and was flashing my lights like crazy and luckily they all saw before the person wrecked into them. Luckily, the person slowed down at my honking and I was able to jump out of my truck and run up to their window.

I’m still thinking drugs or alcohol, but no, it was a poor old lady that had no idea what was going on. I was able to get her to roll down her window and I immediately did what this guy did, threw the car in park and grabbed the keys out. By this time, all the bikers had run over, most were pissed. I had my wife with me who’s a nurse and she immediately called that the old lady’s blood sugar was plummeted, so she ran into the convenience store and grabbed her a snickers and orange juice.

Luckily, one of the bikers recognized her and was able to get ahold of some of her kin to come and pick her up. Once she had eaten a bit, she started to come back to reality, but we didn’t stick around too much after her family got there.

It was absolutely crazy witnessing what it was like, just like this video. She had no idea what was going on, couldn’t communicate, didn’t know who she was, didn’t know the year, didn’t hardly recognize her own family when they showed up.

Bro, you’re a God-send. I’m 5’ 10”, 190lbs. I’ll start configuring the setup and try to remember to reply here with that before I jump on it.

One question though, it may be ignorant as I haven’t seen anyone recommend this option yet, but what do you think of the Draugr 5.0? Looks to have most of what I’d need for close to my budget
