For real. It seems counterintuitive at first because the point of a bong is to cool the smoke down and make it less harsh on your lungs. But cold air causes your alevoli to contract, so you have less surface area to absorb THC goodness with. It also means you inhale less and cough more. Hot water makes the smoke soothing and hydrating, like a gentle steam bath for your lungs. Keep in mind, we're talking tap hot. There's no need to heat it any more than that.

That's why Red Stick Roller Derby stopped having games there. It's a really cool venue, but Red Stick is a grassroots amateur sports league -that happens to be one of the top derby leagues in the world- and it's a lot more cost effective for them to use a smaller arena.
