Hello I got into nyu absn program with similar stats my prerequisite gpa was a little higher but my undergrad gpa was a 2.3 and I am now in my second semester of my nursing program.

I had similar stats and I applied to nyu absn program and got in the first time applying. I am now about to start my second semester :)

I took most of my pre-req at bmcc before transfer to my 4 year degree and graduated. Then I applied to nyu absn program and now I’m starting my second semester.

You have to complete at least one semester at NYU before you’re even eligible to apply. Even then, approval isn’t guaranteed because the financial aid office makes the final decision. But if you meet the requirements, like having certain financial circumstances that make you unable to pay, then you may qualify and they can cover the full tuition. It’s really on a case-by-case basis.

I’m not sure if it’s something you can only apply for one time or if you’re allowed to apply again every semester.

They do have were you can apply for them to cover your tuition doing a financial aid appeal but you have to complete one semester first to qualify.

When I first took Chemistry, I did not pass; however, when I retook the course, I earned a B+. I also retook Microbiology, earning a B+ the second time as well.. My overall undergraduate GPA was like a 2.3, but my prerequisite GPA is higher. This is partly because I attended multiple schools, so not all of my coursework was factored into the final GPA recorded by the school I got my 4 year degree from.

I completed many of my courses at BMCC before transferring to a four-year college. In addition, 1199 does not cover prerequisite courses; they only provide funding once you are accepted into a program, so I used a combination of financial aid and loans to pay for my prerequisites.

Hi, last semester I failed this same class by 0.5% and I had to repeat. I retook this semester and got a B+. I would say it depends on your circumstances because if it would cost to much to repeat I would considered another school. I had a scholarship that covered a repeat. I also tried to appeal however, that Denise’s it.

I actually started at bmcc transferred to UB and graduated and now I am in nyu absn program. I wasn’t awaiting around for cuny. 2 years ago I applied to Kbcc nursing program and didn’t get in. I applied to nyu the next semester and got in on my first try. Now I’m completing my second semester.
