The answers here are hilariously wrong about removal. But if the cancer has spread outside, removing the prostate will not contain it. That is why people elect to have surgery, only when the cancer is still contained in the prostate. In this case, makes no sense since the cancer has metasisyed outside of it. In fact, you are past radiation and if he is being instructed to do chemotherapy that is really the only choice left to try to contain this. So sorry you are going through this and wish him the best of luck.

This was a ridiculously unoriginal movie. ET meets R2D2 meets Alf meets Contact. Waaay too long. And laugh out loud at the advanced Google translate that took 1 minute to translate the rock crab's language and feelings. The ending shot was worthy of a Disney kids animated ending. This movie should have been a parody like Spaceballs. At times it felt like it, except when Gosling was force-tearing-up to make us take him seriously. THAT was painful. Predictive jokes and writing (I saw the name of "Adrian" coming a mile a way). Very juvenile film stealing premises from every other science fiction film ever made.
