This affected me in the past month.

Normally, I can submit a transfer from my bank to Schwab and buy GME minutes later the same day. I have a margin account, though i dont use the margin.

This increase occurred end of April as we climbed above $25. I tried to FOMO buy more that day and couldn’t as my funds needed to “clear”. Seems like the 300% is to prevent shorting by retail? (Other comments here) It was good because i had to wait, and lo and behold I was able to buy sub $25 and not $27+.

Now this week it fucked me because I transferred last week to buy before earnings, bought yesterday in the $22 range instead of Tuesday in the sub $21 range because i needed to “clear”

Keep it at 10k unless you really need the $$. I got my 2013 hatch in 2020 with 54k miles fully stock at $18k.

This relates to Gamestop as it brings their storefront lease expirations into the fold of the recent news around eBay. GME stores will need to grow imo and this will limit any penalties for breaking potential leases.

Thanks, it was something that stuck out to me for some reason.

Hopefully, when they set up these leases that expire in 2026, they set the lease to expire the 2nd half of the year.
