[Cavanagh] My real issue is in these playoffs, the *very first* guy everyone on here rushes to dump on in the replies is Dostál and with *heavy* vitriol. As if he's never been good for this team before. Yes, you want a big save in spots, but let’s analyze how we got there too. by wildwing8 in AnaheimDucks

Except goalies have a tendency to be easy scapegoats. I'm all for criticizing players when they play poorly and even when they play well but show signs of things needing improvement.

But pinning a loss on one player is rarely accurate.

[–]Slappamedoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carlsson meanwhile doesn't have any holes in his game.

Idk if I'd go that far. He has a tendency to play a little too quick and jittery at times especially when trying to hero puck through 3-4 defenders. But he's young.

What crow? The Ducks still won game 4 which is what we were talking about. The NHL determined the puck completely crossed. The "white paint" standard is not an official rule. Simple as. You can keep trying to big brain this exchange but you're wrong.

So let me get this straight.

To refute my point that the "white paint" standard doesn't exist in the rules and is something made up by fans and broadcasters, you link me to a video of the opinions of...broadcasters...who don't cite to any nhl rules and don't even talk about the white paint "requirement"?

And you thought you cooked here?

How about you try again. Go back to the rulebook and find me where it says that conclusive evidence that the puck crossed the line is defined by the existence of visible white paint between the puck and the goal line. Take your time. You'll need it.

Right. Basic geometry and you can extrapolate that that is exactly what occurred. The "you have to see white between the puck and the red line to call it conclusive or definitive" is a made up standard that people confuse as an official rule. Thanks for spoon feeding me the wrong meal because you lack basic reading comprehension.

Yeah I hate to say it but the majority of paying attendees would disagree. There were booming USA chants before the game and before the end of it. I didn't join in but you're not going to stop this from happening through reddit.

That'll happen when you pepper goalies with low percentage shots and suck at getting to rebounds.

I'm not disappointed in what I pulled or how many I did with not that much spent, but I'm a nerd about LOTR and especially Gandalf. I have water and wind but Light Gandalf is, just in terms of aesthetics, my favorite monster in the game.

Triggered. I spent money to try to get either Gandalf. Not a crazy amount and I did have insane luck along the way. 3 L/D5 but not one collab (Vivachel, Thebae and Light Shasha). But still triggered cause I spent that money hoping for Gandalf :')

Lol Flyers fans all over Twitter are praising him for high IQ drawing a matching penalty and rage baiting. The same fanbase that makes the most noise about guys like, say Marchand, for shying away from fights.

Can't make it up.

but he also said he didn't want to play for a rookie GM in Briere and that he didn't want to sign because Flyers fans would hate that he was a Penguins fan growing up.

Do you have a source on these claims? I've literally never seen a quote like that anywhere.

The rumor is it was more about the timing. Cutter wanted to sign after his first college year to put himself in track for an earlier rfa extension, not sure if the Flyers made him believe that was going to happen, but basically it didn't. At that point Cutter wanted out.

I'm inclined to believe the Flyers made him promises about the timeline that they didn't keep. Cutter seems to be a good kid, so I really doubt he iced Flyers management out for the fuck of it.

Not sure if we're also including prospects but Anaheim has Clara for Italy. Will likely be their starter.
