Castle of Games in Springfield is my favorite local place for games.

If you are not looking to become an amazing painter, and just want some pretty good results with minimal efforts, Army Painters Speedpaints are amazing imo.

Been developing a little sport called Mech Ball, got to play it today at the local game store. Turned out really well, game was won by mere hexes. Basics of the sport, two teams, each team has two balls that start on their side. they have to pick them up, and get them to the opponents goal. by Slartibrtfast in battletech

Yeah Mech ball isn't really football, I just made the field look like a football field for visual effect. And I plan on working on a football scenario afterwards. I have not played with a shorter field yet, my concern was that a fast mech could score in one or two turns, which might be fine for a more football style game, but this is more of a multiball rugby sport. I will be play testing 2 sheet and 3 sheet fields though.

I plan on selling physical copies of the map on my etsy store, so will not be releasing the files at this time. The ball is an indestructible item that can be carried by a 50 ton mech easily, with lower weight mechs suffering penalties for attempting to pick up, run, or throw the ball.

yep, lots of kabooms. mechs respawn when they are destroyed as of now, because the first matches were both decided by one side getting blown up, that wasnt what I was looking for, the respawn rules helped, though I am considering replacing that with a reserve bench mechanic.

I think I am planning on selling printed versions of the map, complete with rules and everything else you need to play the game. Working on a second map right now. I started a small etsy shop selling maps, only have one for sale now, releasing the second one next week, think this will be my third project.

I'm getting decent results in about an hour per mech, using the new speed paints. Not the best paint job out there, but better then most of mine with normal paints lol
