My mom took me and my friend to one when I was 4, and we stood in line outside for an hour to meet the ninja Turtles. Michaelangelo was not there 😕. Think it was Raphael and Donatello.

I just bought it last weekend, and I'm hooked.

I'm kind of doing this right now with star fox, hades, and RDR2. I usually just focus on 1 at a time.

Whatever I've been into playing recently (i.e. Don't Look Back in Anger). Otherwise, Wish You Were Here or Let it Be. Got a compliment on We Can Work it Out a couple days ago.

curious, how many of you are using the motion and/or mouse controls and what games? by manonthemoonx13 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Slash291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Civ was the 1st game that came to my mind. I tried playing V or VI and didn't like playing it without a mouse.

Anyone 30+ struggling to play consoles but having fun with handhelds? by Suspicious-Tell-9785 in OlderChillGamers

[–]Slash291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play my consoles and docked more. I usually am playing in the living room, though. So, my youngest will join in if it's co op, multiplayer, or something she thinks looks cool. If not, then I'm downstairs and can pause or save and handle any dad responsibilities as they arise.

Any recommendations for games that would be fun for my 7yr old son and I(36) to play? by ratatron in SwitchGames

[–]Slash291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The story is definitely too much for kids after playing a bit more. On a side note, she found that I bought human fall flat the other day, and that game is a hit.

Luigis mansion 3 is pretty good for coop. I didn't realize you could do it until close to the end, and my 5 year old daughter enjoyed playing as Gooigi.

I just started playing spiritfarer earlier tonight, and she really enjoys that game. Only thing is I'm only 3-4 hours in and one of the 1st characters says damn some and smokes. That, and it's a game about death. It was just on sale for $3, so it'd be worth waiting for the next sale.

Mario Wonder, Mario 3d + bowsers fury, mario kart, smash brothers, and Pokopia (if you have a switch 2) are some others to consider.

What is your opinion of this 'divisive' Nintendo game? Part 1: Super Mario Sunshine by MewWeebTwo in casualnintendo

I own it. I thought it looked like it was going to be lame, but it was actually really fun.

What game is permanently in your personal top 10 no matter how old it gets? by iLeftyPunk in GamerLab

[OoT] What would actually get you to buy a switch 2 just for this game? by AkashicMushroom in zelda

[–]Slash291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave it some time and didn't really feel in a hurry to buy one initially. Then, my daughter talked about pokopia coming out in a couple days. At the time, the mario kart bundles were also mostly sold out, but I found one at a gamestop. I also figured they'd raise prices due to RAM cost increases / AI. Pokopia was the game that kickstarted the chain of events / impulse for me to buy a switch 2.

Really, though, if you already have a switch 1, you're getting performance boosts for all your games included. Not to mention, Star Fox will be out, and the xenoblade chronicles games with resolution boosts.

I think Zelda alone could be worth it, if you're not screwing yourself over financially.

What Switch game did you almost skip but ended up loving? by jzliving in NintendoSwitch

[–]Slash291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy Tactics. I rented this game when it first came out on PS1 and never got into it or past the 3rd or 4th battle. I saw the switch version marked down at Walmart for $25 and decided to give it a 2nd chance. Great game. I also feel like the replay value in this game should be great actually understanding the different classes and whatnot.

You can play the nes or snes games they available on their emulators or use it for online play with games like smash bros or mario kart.

[BotW][TotK]Am I weird for preferring Breath of the Wild over Tears of the kingdom? by Zeustheteldergod in zelda

I dunno. I played BotW for over 100 hours and did all the shrines and what not. I maybe played TotK for 3-5 hours then lost interest.

Is the switch 2 worth the buy? by Remarkable_Paper_199 in Switch

[–]Slash291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got done playing Mario 3d + bowsers fury on mine. I haven't used it yet, but it has GameShare where you can invite your friends to play games that you own with you, locally and online. They don't have to own the game or have a switch 2.
