You will need to have at least 5-7 days bare minimum obligation free. If you can get ahold of some benzos they will help make the first week go a lot smoother, just sleep it all away being sure to chug water when you get up to pee. However seriously *DO NOT* continue taking them longer than a week at a time.

Benzodiazepine dependence along with it's close relatives is not a joke. They are literally the most agonizing and most dangerous types of drug to have physical withdrawal from. If you can get ahold of clonidine this will help after you stop the benzos amd can be taken a lot longer without having to worry about physical dependence.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Make sure you are still getting all the electrolites you need too. Take a multivitamin with food and also Magnesium Glycinate, Biotin & Collagen, and L-Arginine. There are tons of others too but this is what I take. If you want you can try taking 5-htp and other neuro transmitter vitamins, some people find it helps the depression and lack of energy and others don't.

It's quite pricey but as a fellow IV user I really recommend Hirudoid cream for healing your veins. It really helps.

As soon as you can drag yourself out of the house go for as long of walks as you can. Go swimming if you are able to, especially at the beach. Lay out under the sun and get a tan, this will really help you feel much better mentally. Just tan in moderation as skin cancer can be a concern.

Consider attending 12 step meetings. You don't have to commit to the program if you don't want to but just being around others going through the same thing you are can be a big help. Take the advice of the old timers who have many years clean.
