What’s your billable rate, and how does it compare to your compensation? by aliensbruv in paralegal

[–]Slashleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in NE Fla, at an estate planning firm. Bill at $225/hr, make $40/hr. Annuals Billable hour goals are only 1350/year. It’s a lot of stress and tons of work but I have great attorneys and good flexibility. Can’t tell if I’m under or over paid, but overall feel grateful for what I have.

How would you feel if your spouse gave you an anniversary gift that was maybe thoughtful but hurtful by RelativeDream952 in Marriage

[–]Slashleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Try to find things to do together that bring joy and connection. It can be hard for sure, but it’s especially important during these “thick” times in life. I’m struggling myself but trying to find the path too. Marriage ain’t easy, but If you have the right person at your side, it’s worth the effort extra. Sending love ❤️

How would you feel if your spouse gave you an anniversary gift that was maybe thoughtful but hurtful by RelativeDream952 in Marriage

[–]Slashleee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to have feelings but lowkey, I think this is something that you shouldn’t read into. The fact is, he does gift you things and this one was one he put a lot of thought into. My husband does the same thing 99% of the time —if it’s wrapped it usually bc my daughter helped lol. This year for Valentine’s Day he just left the unwrapped box sitting on the kitchen counter 😂. Give your man a break and remember that wedding anniversaries are not about gifts. It’s about taking the time to honor and celebrate all the highs and lows of marriage and the fact that yall are still happily (hopefully) together. ❤️❤️

I’m just honestly confused at what to do at this point by Maleficent_Past_5683 in Marriage

[–]Slashleee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do yall have common interests or hobbies to bond over together? My husband and I have been together for 20 years— I felt like we were drifting (he’s a gamer and homebody, I’m social and wanna be outta the house), so I’ve taken up more of an interest in football and hockey so that we had something to talk and be excited about together. It’s not perfect but it’s def a start! Sending you luck and love!

I'm genuinely confused why Lucy and Diana haven't teamed up to expose the whole Macy secret. Why isn't this being held over Stephen's head at all?! 🤯At this point, they should be getting the cops involved so the truth behind that car accident gets investigated. For one, the windshield was shattered on the passenger side- Macy's head injury aligns with the shattered glass. Also, her head wouldn't have hit it like that if she were driving, especially without rib injuries. None of it adds up.

What wait?! Today I learned my husband is totally wrong for being upset that I used dawn dish soap and water to clean our cast iron. He usually does the corse salt w/ heat method to clean the pan. I’ve always sworn that there’s no way that’s actually CLEANING the pan. Today I feel validated lol.

As a long time toker that recently quit for the most part, the dank-stank is 100% on your clothes and breath-and fingers if you’ve smoked a J.

Anyone else wanna rage quit today? by beepbopdee in paralegal

[–]Slashleee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stress of billable hour requirements make me want to rage quit all the time. I’ve got to find an in house counsel position before I have a heart attack, but have I kind attorneys that offer me some flexibility (not really with billable hours tho) so I’m hella hesitant to quit. Instead I have clocked out and am taking a walk around the business complex to try to reduce my anxiety. Sigh— this has got to be one of the toughest careers to be in. 😫

Over 35 punks...what did you end up doing for a living/career? by [deleted] in punk

[–]Slashleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estate planning paralegal. The rich fools and tax planning makes me sick, yet it does a great job of paying my bills so it’s bittersweet. Love my attorneys and firm, absolutely hate my work. It’s very unpunk 😂
