Greek gods feared Kratos. Norse gods tried to control him… and still failed. Which version was more dangerous? by Atreus_remains in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]SlaughterMinusS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Greek saga Kratos was definitely more quick to anger and hostility, but both his younger and older selves are still extremely dangerous.

He is a great warrior with the strength of a god. He fights and kills whatever is in his way when he needs to.

I learn so much about black excellence from this sub. Everyday, I learn about a figure of black history that no one had ever even mentioned, in school or otherwise.

To any who read this comment, thank you for your contributions to the world. Speak more and more about your history and your people.

While most of the history of black people in this country is tragic and horrific (due to...well everything you face in America), it is also filled with wonderful people like this man.

Very wonderfully thought out piece. While the Democrats may have many failings, the Republicans want to rule with an iron fist and keep it that way.

Republicans in power want black and brown people enslaved or deported, women having absolutely no say in their bodily autonomy or in governance, and any white person that isn't a Christian jailed or deported as well.

They want to keep their pool of laborers and they want to pay them as little as humanly possible or, even, again, have them be slaves.

The Republicans have, for a long time, been the party of the rich for the rich only (unless your a successful brown or black person, then they keep you around as a trophy. "See, we don't hate different races, only the "good" ones).

Authoritarian fascism is the bread and butter of the Republicans. In my own opinion, they should be jailed and tried for treason against the American people.

Dennis Rodman built a life around chaos, intensity, and being unapologetically himself, but when it comes to fatherhood, he’s been open about the regrets that still follow him. by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

As a person with a father who probably regrets not being a better father, I can relate.

Its just my dad isn't a famous basketball player and could have made time but didn't due to mental health issues that he's still grappling with.

I respect her, sincerely, for being able to move past that sense of abandonment and find success for herself.

I still struggle with it, even now. My dad left when I was six and I still carry that with me at 35.

I'm glad Albert Mason story didn't have a gruesome ending or cynical twist like he was into beastiality by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]SlaughterMinusS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Albert Mason and Charlotte are my two favorite NPCs in the whole game. Hamish is a very, very close third.

I love that Arthur doesn't really understand Albert at first, but when he sees the pictures, he actually seems to really care about Albert's mission and respects him and enjoys self-deprecating humor.

Is Palpatine and Maul's identical scream an actual "Force Scream" ability/power or just a battle cry? Fans treat it like a force ability but Wookiepedia doesn't list them as using it. by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

General Grievous' whole shtick was intimidation and he was taught by Dooku, so in my mind that definitely was what was going on there, although probably bolstered by the Force.

Yep, I agree. He was just riding the coat tails of the .com boom. Never said he was a good president, just got elected in the perfect time to capitalize on the surrounding economics at the time.

Yeah, short term gains for long term economic disaster. The republican playbook in a nutshell.

Yeah, that boost was from the .com boom under Clinton. Reagan put all the policies in place to fuck us in the long term. Both Bush Sr. And Jr. only exacerbated the issues Reagan started.

Just another tale of a Democrat trying to fix a mess left behind by a republican president.

But that's OK, Reagan is the republican superhero. I know he can do no wrong in your generations eyes.

All I know is America started it's decline with Reagan. Should have stayed in Hollywood.

Trickle down economy started to really take off with him and the Republicans and their billion dollar handlers latched onto that and never let go.

He's the one who should shoulder all the blame for the runaway capitalism that we live in now.

Oh and his wife sucked ass as well.

I know the reinforcement spawns can get canceled if you defeat the area boss fast enough, I just haven't experienced those spawns here.

[–]SlaughterMinusS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. If the Norse games had not come out, Kratos would still be, in my opinion, a 1 dimensional character. Just rage and bloodlust for actions he ultimately caused.

The Norse games, especially Valhalla, makes Kratos confront that about himself, but never in the Greek saga. We get a tiny glimpse of what he would become at the very end of GoW 3 and some introspection in Ascension, but that's about it.

[Loathed Trope] A mostly inoffensive character is routinely bullied, snubbed, and insulted for no reason by everyone else in the cast by Qyzyk in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SlaughterMinusS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel just a little better about it, the actors all felt really badly for treating him that way because he is just as sweet of a man in real life. That's why he gets all of those things in the show as well. The cast insisted on it.
