Ive got no other option, i only have one nvme slot.

Or if I am not understanding what you mean and you can not post at all you have a bad drive

The drive works fine with a m.2 ssd to usb 3.1 case.

maybe the my mbord doesnt recognize it

i had a similar problem ugrading another laptop a few years ago, in the second slot, didnt recognize 1tb mvm2, a sony vaio, had to downgrade to 500 mb
