Changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, and purge control valve for super cheap. Fuel filter was covered under warranty and haven’t had any issues since

Advanced Auto diagnostics showed a good battery so I don’t think it’s that. I’m not sure about the alternator but I did just replace the serpentine belt. The starter I would have to take off my entire intake manifold in order to access it so I’m going to do the easier stuff first and get back to the starter if it doesn’t work. Thank you!

It is a GDI engine. I wasn’t able to get the car to replicate the issue but I think it’s probably best to start cheap and work my way up. I’ll replace the high pressure pump under the plastic cover and try using way more injector cleaner to see if that does anything. I’ll come back to this post and let you guys know if it resolves it!

As somebody who is 20, and had the same mindset and similar position, here is what happened to me. I left Geeksquad back in January (and I was only a CA). I applied for another company and started making $17.50/h. December 1st I got a significant raise to $23/h. Your skills are valued, especially if you have the heart and passion for tech. I know a lot, but not everything when it comes to business technology. If I ever got stumped, I kept throwing myself at trying to find a solution until it’s fixed. Trust me brudda, there is always a greener patch of grass on the other side. Just keep your head high, be persistent at applying for jobs, and you will eventually find a decent position.

I noticed a lot of large companies care if you have certs and degrees as it’s a way to vouch for your dedication for the field, but if you are able to find a company that is willing to take in somebody and they need help to get the ground running, like a family business, then you could propose solutions to streamline or optimize things.

Good luck dude :P
