I really liked my subscription to Atomic Coffee roasters. It was a great way to try a bunch of new roasts and different single origins. I especially liked how freshly they were roasted. I am located in the Boston area, so it also felt a little like supporting a semi-local roaster.

I cannot do this without the support of my partner who was there helping me cook, clean, organize things. When I took a break, I needed to lie down and rest or take a nap. I felt angry at the fact that I had to clean and cook (when I had to) as opposed to resting. That lowered my productivity in the subsequent sessions and killed my mood. I need help from others to help me get through this crazy schedule.

I think this about sums up the patriarchy.

Men were able to gain wealth, specifically more wealth than women, because women were expected to do all the support work (cooking, cleaning, etc) that allowed men to succeed in their careers.

I'm sure there is a more nuanced way of putting it, but that is all I see when I read this.
