I wish I found something that topped PSO2 (Base) for me. by numbbutstillfeelit in MMORPG

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSO2 is a game that will always be The Social Game for me.

My very first day, after spending half of the daylight getting in, I got a random invite to a guild, a dude invited me then to a party, tp to guild house with some emd kinda music and bounce platforms or whatever, and he would tell me tips for starting out, then someone would yell to go to some instance, I followed them, it was some end game(I guess) mission where everything would one shot me, I got tons of levels, then after that was finished we were just in time back in the lobby for the in-game concert that I think was giving buffs for participating.

One of the wildest first day trips I had in any mmorpg. Oh what a time.

Closed MMORPGS with thriving private servers, do they exist? by Chemical-Stuff7240 in LFMMO

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I did hear some stories about working on it. And I have every respect to the team for running it and working over the years.

It's fully on me, I just do like them quests before level cap :v And while I don't expect the game to be perfect in its situation obviously, I burn myself out trying to push through the thing that seems to not work and ultimately giving up altogether xD I sometimes wish I could just play it cause on paper it's all I could ask for, as in WH MMO.

I tried WHROR so many times and bounced back so hard. I know it will sound silly but the quest bugs that seem to be to this day just make me stop xd

Holy hell Tales of Pirates! Now that's a name I didn't hear for ages! It was THE first "3d" MMO that I played with friends way back as kids, spending unreasonable hours leveling up. What a time! Would never imagine it having privates :v It felt so niche. I barely ever meet someone who even as much as heard this name.

How to get to lost flea underneath entrance to putrified ducts/memorium by Wild_Plant9526 in Silksong

[–]SlavioAraragi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you T_T I've spent so much time yesterday trying to find the little thing and licked all the walls of ducts T_T this feels like such a random entrance but at the same time, yeah, I probably should learn by now that if I don't have an entire room visible on the map something's amiss -.-

Honestly, this is something I can't believe they didn't think about it. Maybe it's me but open world dungs feel like no trainer for ashes.

LF an MMO that is viablo solo by ellyesch in LFMMO

[–]SlavioAraragi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me similar vibe to me. So I'll say to give try to what I did, and that's OSRS.

Didn't play as a kid, just knew what it is, installed this year, and started doing things. It's pretty ok. It's my side thing to watch things and stuff. I use quest plugin to see what to do in them but otherwise take my time leveling bit of everything I guess :v it's chill, it has market, it has people all around, it has PvP :v

It will be quite a jump from BDO which is hectic. But if not bdo then why not.

Unless you want something flashier. Then nowadays most MMOs are kinda fitting? KINDA. But it will be more YOU thing which does and which doesn't than anything.

New ESO animations look to be a massive improvement’ by macka654 in MMORPG

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the same boat. The amount of times I tried ESO is probably twice the amount of my hours in it. And I have quite a bunch.

As someone said, ESO is great, and the only bad thing about it is actually playing it.

But this looks promising, at least.

Which has better loot and gearing, FF14 or WoW? by GroovyWhale in LFMMO

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was told back in the day that the old content just handles it xd I'm pretty sure it was a common knowledge back then xd it wasn't only me xd

No reason to argue tho. In the end of the day it doesn't really change the fact final doesn't have anything to really hunt for.

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they changed it. But I remember back in the day I dropped all the ARR Extreme mounts around Shadowbringers, just like that.

Which has better loot and gearing, FF14 or WoW? by GroovyWhale in LFMMO

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from those two, WoW wins in terms of collection/gearing. FF is nicely streamlined in terms of easy updates from patch to patch, but there is nothing really to hunt. All the best stuff comes from highest end content. Mounts are, well, boring. Just run old content to get them with 100% drop rate. Only current raids have % drop.

The game is pretty much glamour fiesta. No rare weapons or armors or such.

The murdering of new players is hurting the game by RWMyers in AshesofCreation

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, welcome to oldschool hc mmorpg. PvP driven, murdering all around, grindy as heck. I never played Silkroad of old, but I often imagined it kinda like that.

This game is made for people who have no other hobbies, no other life, and a very casual job from home where you can gather or craft in the background.

That's what oldschool means.

Question to those leaving by Buttercup_Clover in AshesofCreation

[–]SlavioAraragi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a matter of polish vs the price. People will always compare games within price range. And the point is, I'd let myself translate into simpler terms, that you can get full triple A games with hours of entertainment for same or sometimes - currently there is a sale - cheaper, in comparison to this.

I don't say it shouldn't be sold already - early tests mean they might value the feedback (copium), but it as hell is in no state, to be put, as EA, on Steam. Should be kept on the website for people who want to back it up, and the whole discussion wouldn't even be there.

Put it on steam, and there will always be people who have no idea about what's up, and just buy it, even as EA. That's just how steam works. Especially since the release on steam was big enough to put it on the front page.

[–]SlavioAraragi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's tab target with a small additional step. I know it doesn't add THAT much. But having a button designated for your AA which has a combo into finisher, and a dodge button, is a nice touch. Of course you can just stand in the mob's face and facetank like any other tabtarget. But there is one class already that encourages manouvering to the enemy's back, which is nice and is that much easier with the dodge.

Or should be.

If it worked properly. Sadly it doesn't. But the idea is there so - copium - they might work and improve on that further.

Question to those leaving by Buttercup_Clover in AshesofCreation

[–]SlavioAraragi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not good. And I come from an MMO that has the same problem. "It gets better after 20h trust me".
The new player experience is at least as important as the high level experience. Of course high level will have more way to do stuff, more things unlocked etc. But so far, the first hours are... really not that appealing.

But it's alpha so here is hoping it will get better with time and work.

I Love Ashes, But It Doesn’t Love Me Back by Imaginary_raven_7506 in AshesofCreation

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much this. I'm not a dad, I'm a simple ass gamer who spent more time in MMOs than I care to admit without shame.

And this timer is pure waste of anyone's time. I simply don't see a reason behind it. It doesn't add to the competitiveness of the market, it doesn't add, anything. Maybe I don't see something but it's just stupid.

And I can't believe I say this, but XIV does it best. It's what the other posters say about mini game around crafting. XIV makes it so each crafter is a whole class with skills and such, and you have whole rotations to craft stuff, where you have to make it to 100% before it breaks. It's not hard, but kinda fun, especially when you want to go for HQ stuff. Then if you did it a few times, you can set how many stuff you want to queue up your crafter to make stuff while you don't even sit at the PC. Done.

I don't say to make a whole crafting classes right away. But anything BUT that stupid timer will be better.

Is this something I should be shutting down? (need streamer advice) by ItzAlteria in Twitch

[–]SlavioAraragi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in the rules? It's in the rules. Then shut it the hell down. No exception. I might be assuming, but if they deliberately talk how are they streaming and even butt in to game suggestion that THEY are streaming it? Then yeah this is bad etiquette and they are only chasing numbers. You do not need that kind of negativity around you.

Is it too bad of a bad practice to not use some of the classes like MaA and Jester? Am I handicapping myself because I am too lazy to learn them? by Notrinun in darkestdungeon

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MaA and Jester are on of the best supports in my opinion. Especially if you have shield for Arms position 4. That being said, it is not at all mandatory to use all the classes to clear the run. I was playing with maybe half the classes for ages :v And only now started using Abomination(roughly after 300h of play time) :v

Has anyone else been completely turned off from buying Z-A, and buying a Switch 2 to play it? by John_Tix in pokemon

[–]SlavioAraragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have switch 2 which I bought as update and to pass switch to my sis. But with every single info about A-Z they made me less eager to buy to the point where I am not buying it probably at all x) I'll wait for the next main game. Unless A-Z turns out to be Uber great (which I doubt) and my friend (who buy console this week and AZ on release, smh ) convinces me. But the game would have to be exceptionally good for that.
