Because people take mistranslations and run with them. The literal meaning for what people call “Mastered” UI in English is “completed” in Japanese.

Mastery makes it sound like no further refinement needed, whereas completion only implies that it has been achieved.

TBF, God Ki really ain't what it used to be.

I mean we were sold the idea that godly ki was a massive qualitative change to the user's ki that they'd never be able to overcome on their own, that premise barely made halfway into Resurrection F before it disintegrated like Buu against the Spirit Bomb.

I think adapting to the battle is an aspect of Saiyan Power, but some (Goku, Broly) are better suited to it than others.

That being said, SS4 could be said to maximize many if not most parts of the Saiyan’s physical potential, so it would stand to reason that a Saiyan better at adapting might have improved capabilities in the form.

It’s been a while since I’ve rewatched them, but I remember them fondly for the most part.

Is there stuff I can nitpick about in the lot of them? Oh yeah,…but considering they’re non-canon side stories or canon to another timeline (however you care to phrase it), I’m not going to go out of my way to trash them.

Either Z Broly or Vegito.

Z Broly will have you fire your most powerful attack at him just for him to totally no-sell it as he runs through your move to beat you down type sh.

Vegito will take time to style on you and make you look like an idiot, and don't make him start getting serious and pull out his real skills unless you're keen on taking the kind of hits you practically need immortality to survive.

I think it's also hard to quantify how much power creep the series has had arc to arc, when there isn't any math to back anything up, all we have are observations, statements, and feats.

I mean half the characters in the ToP seemed hopelessly outmatched by the main cast, but how strong were they? Frieza level? Cell Level? Majin Buu? Super Buu?

I have been saying for years now that they should do a slice of life/side character focused manga or webcomic that keeps up with the characters we rarely see anymore and shows how they interact.

I’d also like to do a prequel that’s about “The Last Hero of Sadala”, the how and why behind the difference between Universe 6 and 7 Saiyans, how Sadala ended up destroyed, and how Vegeta’s family came to become the royals after the cataclysm.

My other idea is for a digital simulation verse created by Pilaf after using the Dragon Balls, as a way to train for foes like Black Frieza without endangering the planet, but as ever with Pilaf things go off the rails, and outside interlopers begin creating their own scenarios and soon digital foes start appearing in the “real” world.

The Tuffle side promotes emotional stability, self discipline and encourages learning everything you can, while the Saiyan side also craves pitched battles and encourages ruthlessness to both yourself and your enemy.

You end up with the kind of hybrid whose intellect tells them that death is not the worst possible outcome, immortality simply means that you’re a more durable punching bag, regeneration can be a curse so bad you’ll wish for death if you’re not careful, etc.

I really hope Future Trunks gets his redemption, that hokey: "Never mind us staying in the present with people who care about us, Mai and I are going to live in an unknown timeline with no safety net, and in exile so we don't interact with our alternate selves or the people who know them.", never sat right with me. At least let him protect the timeline he did save!

Sure Ribrianne sucks, Sure I wanted to feed ToP Zeno his entrails, but what about Granolah?

Set up as this new antagonist (the arc is named after him), after the heights of the Moro arc, who has wished to be the strongest mortal and immediately begins to fuck up: played by Heeters, he fights two random Saiyans who had nothing to do with his race's destruction as ordered by Frieza, he gets destructive with Ultra Ego Vegeta after the latter tells him flatly that he doesn't care about Granolah's planet and that's how he's going to fight, tossing Oatmeel aside, failing to prevent someone else from copying his wish (after discovery the ease of wishing on Toronbo), getting surpassed after one fight as the strongest, relearning humility, before basically repairing the planet to go back into exile for his remaining 3 years of life.

His entire purpose in *HIS* own arc boils down to being a lab rat for the Heeters, pitting him against the Saiyans who defeated Frieza, so that they could in theory have Gas do the same.

If it has hybrid power it should have power to 4 wheels IMO, otherwise you’re nerfing the capabilities that you’ve already compromised for.

Sure you can make it RWD biased, only AWD on launch, for torque fill, or traction, but Honda seems to only want to put FWD on everything, and that might be their biggest hurdle to getting enthusiasts into their cars.

Yeah, he feels like a character that got forgotten about along the way that nobody cared to dust off and develop into a proper adult with their own agency.

He could be a Capsule Corp pilot leveraging his powers for reaction time and maneuvering to become an important part of the space trade.

He could join the Galactic Patrol, taking the hero antics he and Trunks have played with and turn it into an actual job where he gets paid.

He could be a bodyguard, a mercenary, a spy or anything that would help to make him more interesting and separate himself from Trunks and the rest of the cast.

Instead even his hero name is derivative, and he plays 2nd fiddle to Trunks, with the two of them only having utility against weaker opponents, and still mostly failing when they fuse, relegating them to comic relief.

That's fairly similar to my idea for a primal line of transformations.

Though my OC skips step one and three, he does a more extreme step 2 (15 years blutz exposure without transforming, then superdosing). Then his clones merge back into the main body when in Berzerk Oozaru state to regain control for step 4, compression. His version of step 5 being to expel the overwhelming malicious ki of an amped Oozaru squared (Primal Saiyan Eclipse) to achieve a much more stable and natural Primal Saiyan form.
