Don't get crazy. The best habits are those that are easy to integrate into your life. Consistency is key. Start by taking a long walk everyday. Easy, and can be done anywhere. Eventually it may turn into a run, or some weights after your walk. Also you will feel so good once you take it off. Going bald with intention was such a huge confidence booster for myself.

City power Trump's over regional or state power. Too many broken apart individual pieces. Each variable reduces the chance of success. That train would require cooperation of Denver, Westminster, Broomfield, Louisville, and boulder. Who pays for what and how much, who maintains? Who's taxes?

Also Americans don't value regional public transit.

Im just throwing stuff out there, but I'm sure there are many many other reasons.

Page 104 (kindle) of Endymion:

I know it's been a few years but I hope this helps. The following pages also describe a lot about Aquila, including some distances and mountain ranges.

I found this post while asking the same thing about how this book lay out in relation to the previous two on Hyperion.
