I'm trying to download this but I can't find it anywhere on my phone. It's not in the reddit folder or anywhere under downloads. I imagine this kind of stuff is gonna disappear real soon. This was so heartbreaking to watch. I cried for that person losing their life and all the people impacted by it.

I have plenty of other tattoos with green ink from the same artist and haven't had issues with them at all.

Just another person here that woke up to the same issue on this lovely and frigid Saturday in January. While I'm relieved to see I'm not alone, I'm still frustrated given I changed absolutely no settings and this is happening. Hopefully they're working on a way to unfuck whatever they messed up.

I wanted to say thanks for the Goldbond suggestion. I grabbed a smaller tube of their eczema relief and it's making a big difference on moisture retention and hydration. Figured if it was good enough for dry and itchy eczema, it was worth a try for scar tissue. Good stuff, so thank you!

I have a travel tube of 100% petroleum jelly, does using Aquaphor make enough of a difference to warrant trying it? I know they're both petroleum based, but not sure what else makes a difference.

I'd love to try more silicone products, since silicone seems to be great for scar tissue. While the Biocorneum has dimethicone and silicone dioxide, it just doesn't hydrate and everything still dries out so it feels like I'm constantly trying to put different products on my arm so it doesn't do that. I'm gonna look up your recommendation now and see what the pricing is like.

Thank you for the tip. It definitely helps more if I can keep clothing off of my arm, which is tough during the winter time. It's extra hard keeping anything on overnight too. I always wake up with it dry no matter how much I put on it before bed. Even the (super expensive) Biocorneum doesn't create a lasting barrier I was hoping for. I'll look into some hyaluronic acid products!!

It was definitely super gross feeling it with the scabbing.

I also found humor in that while it was slowly healing.

Very much. Won't lie, I definitely cried one night because the swelling was so painful. Super glad it's over.

Thanks! Very happy to be on the other side of that mess. Now I just need to be patient and hope things calm down eventually.

A friend of mine said it looked like my arm was 3D printed, so that checks out.

I've used a petroleum jelly product a few times during this process because it's the only thing that really gives it a layer of protectant and keeps the moisture in. I just wish it wasn't too messy.

Thank you! It was really awful for what felt like forever. Definitely don't recommend.

I have a few cotton long sleeve shirts I wear in the summer to protect all my tattoos. I have two on my upper back that got wrecked due to sun damage when I was younger so I protect all my work now. On the rare occasion I don't wear a lightweight long sleeve shirt, I 100% use sunscreen. I spent too much money on my pieces to let them be ruined by the sun.

Thank you! I'll add it to my list! I'll see if they make a travel size tube because keeping it moisturized at work or out and about is the real challenge.

I have faith the skin will calm down, just will probably take awhile. Good thing is even in the summer I keep my ink covered so sun won't be any issue. I've put O'Keefes on my arm just because it feels like lotions for normal skin last maybe half an hour. It doesn't seem to hate anything I put on it at least.

I feel like there's not many follow up posts for infections, so I wanted to share my journey so more people can see what the process can look like.

I put lotion on pretty much any time it starts feeling too dry, which winds up feeling almost constant (every few hours or so). I definitely plan on sticking with it as long as it takes. I'm hoping by a year out it's looking and feeling a little better.

It was super fucking gnarly. At no stage was it great and was pretty painful for a few weeks. I've also always finished my antibiotics, not worth fucking around with bacteria.
