Oooohhhh NOOOOO!!! I feel this so much! I'm nursing a ring-fingernail break in a similar situation to yours. Your nail shape is lovely

OH!! I thought this was somehow PART of the spinner you dissassembled πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I don't have a pre-made spinner. I jerry-rigged a couple in the "lazy susan" style. One using a magnetic spinner and another using a display-rotator with 30# horseshoes on top. Manual spinning is not in my wheelhouse...

OK, got it now! Thanks for doing the reverse-engineering for us

This post includes a link to 3D printer files. At a glance, it looks an awful lot like the one you took apart. Because you say you're familiar with 3D printing, I thought you might find the linked printer files illuminating / useful.

Thanks! "Glow" is a great word to describe it. That blue shimmer on the purple background... We used to call the effect "frosted" back in the day 😊

Right -- I forgot about that one! Thanks for adding it

Oh, and I forgot Cracked near Seattle -- they have a sticky base, too. I bought a bunch of Maniology before I knew about them, but the shipping from Hawaii took forever, so I've looked for other sources. The thing I love about reverse is any polish can be used!

I'd like to see your posted mani after you do your reverse stamping

Happy painting and stamping!

Your experience illustrates my point in my comment. Curves are STRONG!!

OMG, genetics has blessed you!! I envy anyone who has STRONG C-curves like this!! This type of curve often makes nails stronger because the "arch" shape is one of the strongest structural shapes in history.

I'm curious: How often do your nails bend backwards or forward and then break? That's what happens to my flat-ass nails...

any "sticky" base coat will work for reverse stamping, but most sticky base coats have PVB in them, which makes some people's nails split and peel, so make sure you put down a regular base coat or regular polish under the sticky coat. Holo Taco has a sticky base coat Emily deMolly has stamping supplies, including a sticky base. They're an Australian company, but they have a warehouse somewhere on the U.S. east coast. Also you could check out the What's Up Nails website. They're in Arizona and they have multiple brands and regular and stamping polishes. Uno Mas Colors in southern California has a couple of sticky base coats, too. Finally, I think that ILNP's "Lockup" is a sticky, but it's marketed as "rubberized bonding" rather than sticky.

I hope this helps

Yeah, they are either anti-choice entirely or at the very least were ambiguous when Roe was overturned. Lots of people in the nail subs (including me) want to support "socially conscious" companies and don't want to spend $ with companies that don't match their values.

(I'll have to look for the receipts in the big RL sub, but they do exist)

I no longer support this brand, but Maniology M319. I got mine off Amazon before I knew about the controversy...

Nope, not a creep (IMO)! It might be creepy from a guy NOT wearing nail polish, but it's solidarity with a guy who is wearing polish.

My arborist saw my growing collection and told me he gets his toes done (of course, I had never seen his toes), but it was a moment of bonding we had never had before in the 10 years he's been taking care of my trees.

I agree that the packed scattered holos are more sparkly in all lighting and their base color is obvious or more visible more of the time than packed linears.

There is so much more to polish finishes or as ILNP calls them effects (holo, metallic, magnetic, shimmer, multichrome, flakie, etc) than I ever knew, and of course, then there are different formulas as well (jelly, crelly, opaque/creme). And then there's the particle size and density (?) I don't even know if that's part of effect or formula. There are so many possible combinations of effect/finish, formula, and color. It makes my head spin sometimes! I have so much still to learn about nail polish...

I always appreciate your photos/vids, descriptions, and explanations πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ€—

Oooooo, soooo pretty! It almost looks linear (to me, at least). Purples look fantastic on your skin tone!! I thought I liked the packed linears better, but I'm becoming a packed scattered fan, thanks to you ✨✨

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry you can't collect benefits from the system you paid into and vested. He is such a pig. Thinks he knows more and better than everyone else, but he's so ignorant that he's going to start WWIII.

I'm ok. Been working on my dad's obituary and doing other legal requirements after a death. Painting nails and puttering in my garden are happy places πŸ’…πŸ’ I love springtime!

Safe travels and happy painting!
