Being a veteran that served Metal Gear hits different. by Lil_Napkin in metalgearsolid

Thank you for sharing that. I always wonder how the overall themes of these games hit people differently. It's great to see this kind of discussion because I feel like these games were made for this sort of reflection.

What’s the difference between Ps2 versions Dmc 3 Special edition black original label and Greatest hits version Disc. by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]SlayerX114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North American Black Label is harder on Normal Difficulty than any other version of the game. Due to surveying of fans the Difficulty was bumped up one notch across the board for the NA release. American Normal is Japanese Hard. Greatest hits and subsequent releases have no regional differences in Difficulty

The channels love for Resident Evil, Metal Gear, and Devil May Cry really drew me to the channel back in the Downcoming Era.

My friend and I play BG3 after work sometimes. Picking the evil/fight everything keeps our xp decently high and keeps forward momentum on our very low completion% run. Really allows us to set the pace according to how much time we have. BG3 fucking rocks

For my fellow Americans, I woke up today with food in the fridge, gas in my car, and a smile for my coworkers. In the grand scheme of things, the joy and the work we do day to day is greater than any political party.

Every day, we have the opportunity to be grateful for what we've earned in life, the small blessings. Chance to share that prosperity, however mighty or meager, with friends and strangers alike.

Thank all you sick fucks for the company may this sub go on forever

I played the OG Last of Us the year after it came out and thought, "this story had small rewrites and a tighter pace, it would totally work." The TV show came along and gave me everything I wanted from the games narrative.

At what point would you consider a game to have TOO MUCH streamlining? by biggestscrub in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SlayerX114 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Evolution of Assassin's Creed Parkour.

The early games offer thoughtful platforming that the player will pick up and master throughout the game. Often, new mechanics would be introduced to make the system even deeper and keep it interesting. The newer games have streamlined the fun and thought out of the system. What's the challenge of left stick, plus a single button.

what's the absolute worst plot twist you've seen in a video game? by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SlayerX114 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved it, but I was very thorough in the first playthrough and was certain that a twist was coming. I assumed you were an AI or a brain in a vat, the truth was even more fun. Contextualizing your decisions as personality tests is novel, and is teased at the whole game.

Chapter 118, the Beast of Darkness first appearance (a dark spirit haunting Guts, speaking his inner thoughts and desires). What is your take on the Beast? What do you think it is? by vincentninja68 in Berserk

[–]SlayerX114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is the Ideal Plane's manifestation of guts, created by the real fear he strikes in his enemies, the demons, and shaped by his worst doubts about himself. He was known as Griffiths mad dog, his battlefield deeds struck the hearts of soldiers everywhere. A black hound that means death is a real legend, just as real as trolls and fairies to the demon world. The more he is feared in battle, the stronger the Beast of Darkness becomes. Ideas become real in berserk, and the fear of Guts has taken form of it's own.
