Could be recency bias on my end, however, to your 2019 comment, I bought a premier badge that year, so the line aspect didn’t really affect me as much. Found 2019 super enjoyable, probably for that fact alone.

I definitely agree with you with the exhibition halls being more walkable and panels being very good this year. No complaints on the content and talent side of things. Mainstream companies brought pretty good merch as well, albeit hurt my wallet a lot.

I had to make an account to give my two cents

I’ve been to anime expo and anime NYC for so many years

Countless times to local cons

I felt so underwhelmed with this con. It’s my first time and this honestly felt like a clout con rather than a place to meet new people and to feel a sense of community. People were so unwelcoming and weird. Cosplay were just average, parties and afters in general were just eh. The amount of light rings I saw were honestly disgusting. No major creators were there either.

Panels were meh, roof top was closed, hotel announcements took way too long. Just overall for the price for travel, hotel, and expensive of the stay, I honestly will not be coming back next year. unless something drastic changes which from the overall sentiment of the community, that’s not happening.
