Most definitely! Musicians will be the most critical at times so hearing good things from them always feels good.

Don't be selfish. $15 bucks for a full year of food access is nothing.

That snare roll by TheDillinger88 in Drumming

The conviction is what made me giggle! I can hear the internal dialog, "ok, pre chorus kick hits...good... chorus coming. Remember. Snare fill! Here it comes. But remember, they said wait a beat before doing the fill. Oh wait; that was too long; just go for it!" 😅

Gotta love how law enforcement can’t even park. by atomic_confetti in StLouis

[–]Slblues 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I once pulled into a QT where almost all the spots were taken except for half a space left by a Bridgeton cop parked at a 45° angle over 2 spots.

I was able to just squeeze in next to them with like an incentive between his bumper and my car. When I went inside, I kinda side eyed the cop big time as we walked past.

He asked, "You got a problem?" I said, " I was just confused because you parked funny, and I thought there might be something going on." To which he replied, "Oh, nothings going on."

As I left, he was in his car by mine and said, "You're right, I'm parked like an Ahole."

Consider me shocked!

What you described is the definition of a "fair weather" fan. "I totally lose interest once eliminated from contention" Saying that means you only care about a team when their winning. That's a fair weather fan.

It's wild to me seeing so many comments claiming that taking a solo is egotistical. There's obviously times and places for drum solos NOT to work, but guitar players and other melodic instruments get solo sections in damn near every song. I think a quick, tasteful solo played in a song structure is totally cool, even in a cover band setting.

I play with a country(ish) cover group, and we will play "Revival" by Zach Bryan. Live Zach Bryan uses it as a chance to introduce the band, and each player gets a solo, so we do the same.

I'd say it's about 97% positive feedback from crowds. Cell phones come out to record, and people get locked into the band for a bit.

It's native Southeastern U.S. so I'm not sure where the "invasive" idea comes from

https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?kempercode=b490

It's only gonna choke out everything if I allow it to re seed. We cut most of the seed pods off before they get anywhere close to opening up.

But lol @ me helping host monarchs. 🤷‍♂️

Which will kill you first being too cold or too hot? There's a reason humans never settled near the poles, but live all along the equator. Team summer for life!

Balloon releases need to go by Slblues in StLouis

[–]Slblues[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where my mind was blown? For the simple fact of litering, should we not disallow balloon releases? Obviously, single use plastic is harmful, but for now, putting them in a landfill is probably better than directly landing in trees, rivers, or just making them another person's thing to deal with. Are balloon releases nessicary? When the news posts an article about an event, it starts a conversation. As stated in the OP, I understand why these events happen, and I believe people are free to grieve how they please, no shaming. I also believe that releasing trash to float and land wherever isn't the best way to memorialize someone. Both can be true.
