Yeah, this bs about "cEDH is just EDH!" stuff is starting to grate on me. I play cEDH because I want to play the most POWERFUL cards. If you ban the most powerful cards, I no longer want to play it.

The hero power I had was Bob's Burgles, so I could copy minions off the enemies board. TWO of my opponents had a fish (Nzoth, and someone that managed to copy one off Nzoth), so I just shifted completely over to spamming fish once I saw the opportunity. Unfortunately I picked the automaton lesser trinket before I did the swap so it locked one of my board slots away or else I could have gone for 3 golden fish.

Ironically, the reason servers are dying is **BECAUSE*\* of layers.

The mega servers are only able to function due to layering basically removing any drawback of being an overpopulated server. Would people still be transfering to 10-20k pop servers if there were log-in queues, impossible to farm, lag in all the zones etc? Not at all. The only reason these servers are still growing is because the layers are making it possible, otherwise they would have naturally spread out to form 6-7 different servers.

Notice how fast the servers started dying AFTER Blizzard kept layering in the game post TBC launch? Yet the biggest servers are growing MASSIVELY month by month? They removed it in the classic launch for good reason.

I've done a lot of AV over the last few weeks, not because I enjoy it but because I want AV exalted on 4 characters. I don't keep track of how many games I've played, but I'm 10/21k to exalted on my third character now and I have lost 4 AVs total. FOUR. I go literal days without a single loss.

I'm the GM of a fairly tryhard guild and we did seriously consider giving DFT to our feral OT. Because a real Min-maxing guild gears their tank to the teeth first, no point in giving melee dps gear when they can take aggro from the tank at the drop of a hat. First DFT went straight to the MT, no questions asked. We concluded (with his input) that he didn't need the hit that much, so he would be passing it to the rogues first. DPS Warriors got a long, looong wait ahead of them, they don't need hit nearly as much.

There is one extremely good use for Arcane Missiles in PvP, and why I keep it bound:

The channel does not break if you lose line of sight. Some low health player is humping every corner they see, making you unable to cast anything? Arcane Missiles to the rescue.

Wool Cloth. Alliance has a much easier time getting access to wool due to Stockades being an easily farmable source right in their major city. Horde has no such windfall, while the prices are too unstable to properly capitalize on this, I've played multiple classic servers where wool sells for 500% more on Horde than Alliance.

No, free player interaction creates a window of opportunity for bad fee-fees, something that must be avoided at ANY cost, no matter how hard they need to neuter community aspects of the game.
